Having a brief listen to your album.
I like Elf Dance, All Is One, Echoes Of Eternity, Divination.
And alot of sections from the other tracks are good too, but i prefer more repetetive music.
Thanks for sharing though.

Sounds really great, downloading now!
Track by track review incoming, you deserve it!
The First Gate:
This track starts off very minimal, with roaring basses until suddenly a heavy downbeat kicks in. Very dirty sound so far. 2:30 is an awesome change; a very trippy acid synth kicks in, joining a slow groove. This track reminds me of a post apocalyptic wasteland. Great opener, although I feel it ends a bit too suddenly.
Dark Lords:
Robotic Dark Psy FX open up the track. The bassline coming in a while later is groovy while the background layers sound eerie. Nice interchange in the middle of the track. When the beat kicks in again I feel reminded of Infected Mushroom, although this interpretation is a lot dirtier, the production is a little unclean as well, which fits the track imo.
Elf Lords:
Elf Lords starts like a nice mid tempo triplet stomper. I am missing a bit of bass. Its good to hear a bit of dark epic pad melodies behind all the distorted acidlines.
All is one:
Probably the most classic Goa track so far, although there are some really nice ideas in there. The melody progressions at 1.45 are good and really original. The track stays on a solid level but isnt particularly groundbreaking until suddenly uplifting melodies start at around 5.00. The track got a fantastic feeling then, reminds me of a video game soundtrack. Thanks for the great melodies!
Echoes of eternity:
back in downtempo territory now. Things got a bit darker now. Noises and distorted synths join the scene. Nice choir pads at 3.40, the atmosphere is really my kinda thing. A bit less distortion could sometimes be better though.
Pounded:
Starts as a darkish Psy track, but I can still feel the infected mushroom/ misted muppet vibe. 2.00 is a fantastic passage with a great groove. Another breakbeat. Damn i love these distorted basses, reminds me of good Drum n Bass. Epic, dark arpeggio joining now - awesome! In the end we are delighted by a wonderful melody progression. Unfortunately there is so much going on, i can hardly hear the kick. Nevertheless, this is my favorite so far. Its a composition that seems really well thought out from start to end.
Oscillators of Seduction:
now we start with a minimal industrial downtempo beat. Got a bit of (old) Front Line Assembly feeling. But the track builds up with more and more trippy layers, morphing to a very hypnotic groover. Layering is really good.
Divination:
Full power start with a full on bass and dark FX. But as I expected, there is a break that throws the track around again. It is unpredictable, and that actually makes listening so much more fun. If not happy, then at least uplifting melodies are joining now. 3.15 awesome! The track really tells a story and is evolving over time. Good one.
A new Awakening:
The longest track on the album. The speed is high and the overall instrumentation is a bit more minimal compared to the previous tracks. Even though there are really nice synths, I got a feeling this track does not evolve so much until the very end. Then we are rewarded with first class goa layers, finally!
Ritual of the Shaman:
This is a downtempo track for the end, but on this album you might never know, it could always transform into something else.
Now hearing some trippy 303 type sounds that work well with the rythm.
The track builds up pace as more and more fairies join the ritual. Great ending to a really innovative and fresh album.
conclusion:
Starting off with the bad things first. The production of this album is not exactly top notch, most of the time we are dealing with fairly unclean mixes. Sometimes there is a bit too much distortion, distracting from the actual melodies. Also, the rythms are often too simple, often I'd wish for more drive and groove from additional percussion.
That being said, let me also mention that I do not care so much about a clean production, I care more about innovation, and there were parts I really loved. There are some really epic moments scattered throughout the album. The melodies do not sound cliche, they are mostly innovative and nicely layered with other synths. There were quite a few moments where I felt myself reminded of old Infected Mushroom in a positive way. Also I appreciate the courage to make the tracks a bit unpredictable in progression. Definitely made me happy to hear some fresh psytrance that does not sound formulaic at all.
Good work, thanks for sharing your music for free!
oh, and you should ask basilisk from ektoplazm if he hosts your album on ektoplazm. Its a great place to get free Psy releases heard.

Twisted Sessions is a free website where you can host your music for free on a webpage. It's hosted by Twisted Records, the record company that Simon Posford aka Hallucinogen created/belongs to.
I'm still trying to my mixes to sit right, especially the kick/bass so those songs might sound a little odd, but thanks for checking them out!
