A select few who saw the thread may remember me from "My very first serious attempt at trance". Well I've been making a bunch of stuff after that, none of it any good. I finally decided to stop using the equipment I was using before (Old roland synth, garageband) and use FL studio, no keyboard.

Well I actually made something I like. I call it Amyleigh after the pad used in the song. Heres the link to it on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLofIfwxm9M

Quality is crap because it's YouTube but you basically "get" the song. Comments/ratings/harsh criticism on YouTube itself as well as this forum would be much appreciated. The beginning is weird, I know, but it gets nicer. Also, can someone kind of tell me what genre they would consider this? I wouldn't call it trance... maybe some sort of progressive house, or something?... IDK.

Gave this a listen. The track has a nice overall idea to it, but it sounds generally weak. Meaning, it has few elements and none of them really "sparkle". It sounds very "preset-y" and has the sound one would expect of a typical "I just got FL Studio" song. That clap is a little much, too.

Mind you, I'm not bashing your track. It doesn't sound terrible. I'm just trying to provide a useful critique. Good job and keep on truckin'.
