EFX-500 W/ Ecler Nuo 3 Problems

hey guys

just got my EFX-500 and hooked it upto the ecler through RCA's and everytime i turn the EFX send on the mixer up, i get a sorta echo/fuzzy sorta sound and it stays there until i turn the EFX back down to 0.

cant seem to find why iam getting this happeneing

anyone with this setup did you have any problems etc?
