In White Rooms Lead sound

Anybody know how to create the lead sound in Booka Shade - In White Rooms? It has great variation throughout and sounds quite layered as well. It has so much texture and tonal quality across all the bands - awesome!!

Hey,
Just give it a shot buddy! With some layering with any old synth with ya basic waveform types you should be able to get something.
Some times im hearing squre/tri then as another layer comes in its more sawtooth based. Plus the oscillators will be needed to be detuned 7 semitones apart if your using basic waveforms, a few cents for slight chorus fx.

Can I ask where the 7 comes from?

Is that half an octave or something or what?

What is the theory about tuning a seconds osc +/- 7 semitones to another?

the 7th is just one of many color tunes used in music a bit more dissonant than the 5th but equally as colorful as a m3 or sus
