I'm fired!
Fook ya!
Did you at least shit in your office chair before you left?
no he needs a good reference.
You could always leave a classic parting gift: a shoe coated with fresh dog poop...its always a big hit in the office.
lol so much for not quitting.
fired for what
*edit* the reason is because well basically... it sucks to work there and I said my heart isnt in this job anymore and that I felt it was a hostile work enviroment. They thought I was inspiring low morale as well...
They gave me a choice, said "You can get fired, and deal with the government for unemployment and not get a good reference or you can quit, and cite creative differences at the next place you apply."
I said "Fire me."
And that was that.
Feels so fucking good!

Sorry to hear mate, but usually these things lead to much better opportunities, than wasting away in some shit place u hate.
oh well... i didn't think about the significance of unemployment security. here it would be definitely better to quit than to have "fired" written in your service record regardless of the reason (labor book, or whatever it's called in English)
in countires that were never communist there is no such thing as a labour book lol.

So what was the point of making them fire you? You won't be able to use them as a reference. In addition, you won't be entitled to unemployment due to the circumstance of your firing.
You were fired for caring too much.
This is what unemployment looks like
collect unemployment and fuck the reference, just omit it from the resume (unless it was a big, big part of your work experience). there's a couple jobs i don't throw on my resume because i worked there for a short amount of time or told them to fuck off, etc.
don't listen to IGK if they fired you, you're good for unemployment. then again they could contest that you willingly left (when they gave you that ultimatum) therefore causing a shitstorm for yourself and the unemployment division
edit: ALSO, if you're going to school, you can't collect unemployment. keep that in mind when you fill out your shit

| 10. I was just fired. Can I collect Unemployment Insurance Benefits? If you are fired or suspended, you may be disqualified for benefits if the employer can prove one of the following: ... Wilful misconduct in the course of your employment. The term wilful misconduct means deliberate misconduct in wilful disregard of the employer's interest, or a single knowing violation of a reasonable and uniformly-enforced rule or policy of the employer ... If you are discharged, it is the employer's burden to prove that there was wilful misconduct. When applying for benefits after being discharged or suspended from a job you will be scheduled to attend a pre-determination hearing to determine eligibility. Your employer will be notified of this hearing and will be invited to attend or to send in a written statement. |
Except there was no misconduct.
