Austin, TX Event Listing?

Hey everyone,
I remember this forum used to have a sub-forum or at least a thread that had Texas events listed. Is there at least one for Austin, even outside of TranceAddict? My best friend goes there a lot and she's looking for a listing of electronic clubs and events.

the GIRL that used to do the thread MOVED TO FLORIDA. so, we really don't have one anymore. i can tell you that Above & Beyond is going to be at Pangea in Austin on May 7th. i'm going to that.

It's going to be a fucking blast, but I'm afraid of what it'll be like at Pangea.

yea...i haven't heard many good things about that place. but oh well...it's Above & Beyond. for $10 no less.

i don't live in Austin, so as far as non-headliner events, i'm not sure. but with a quick look at some sites, i don't see much happening in the month of June so far.

As far as Pangea goes, it's pretty damn small. I nearly died when I saw Infected Mushroom there.

The stage is in the back of the venue. They DJ booth is to the right and towards the middle of the venue. I think they'll probably remove the stage and open up a bar.

Some of the 4th street bars play some stuff. Canvas always plays house music but their drinks are over-priced. However, just about every single girl there is pretty hot. Red Fez occasionally plays some stuff. Firehouse Lounge sometimes plays electronic music but that's about it (at least, that I know of).

+ Barcelona on 6th & The Madison on 4th.

Firehouse used to play a lot of dance music then the owner bought barcelona. I haven't been back to firehouse since. The Madison will play your typical hip hop with random popular house songs mixed in. Madison is probably on par with Canvas' drink prices.

Lanai on saturdays is also pretty awesome. Jason Jennings from hypersonic radio spins and when I saw him he mostly played prog house type stuff. That was awhile back though so I'm not sure what he plays now.

I believe Karma Lounge plays edm on tuesdays and Light Bar does on wednesdays. (or they did a year ago)

Firehouse, Karma, or Canvas are your best bets for EDM.

In that order, depending on the night of course.
