is it too early to start planning for lovefest?- Brandon,Mikey, Jonathan, Billy...

I went looking at hotel rooms today and found 4 star hotels in union square under $100.
I guarantee people on TA will be scrambling and settling for 2 star hotels for over $100.(LATA'S!)

BOOK NOW if youre going to go!
I know Billy is going to go... save money now, more party favors later.
:-)

I believe that big dentist convention is on the same weekend this year which means hotels will be filling quickly, so get them now while things are still cheap.

Anyone remember the new name? I saw it on Facebook but didn't want to believe it. LoveRevolution? I forget. Maybe it was fake. I dunno. But better than all the original names being thought about it.

When is the date and is there a line up / website available?

Thanks... I'm really thinking about going this year.

im looking to book too. any good spots? I've stayed at the OPAL SF for the past 3 years...

Tentative date being announced is October 2nd weekend.
opal is cool because its close to the lovefest, i have stayed there before...
last year i stayed at the beresford between union square and nob hill for a decent price even though i booked only a month in advance.
For couples, the huntington hotel on hotels.com(4 stars, guest reviews of 4.8 on 5 point scales and 97% recommended) is $99 a night.
http://www.huntingtonhotel.com/

here's a 3 night stay and rate

http://www.hotels.com/checkProperty...%5D=0&x=79&y=13

of course most people wont spend much time in their rooms, but why not get a 4 star hotel at 2 star prices

ya i know i hate that too, BUT i do like that they give you a free night for every 10 booked and that they dont charge you if you cancel. So worse case its an extra $350 you get back later on down the year as opposed to next year if you are lending the Feds interest free by witholding too much in taxes. i'll have to keep the thread going and post the rates in september, i bet they will be more than double(the hotel website has a rate of $225/night!

I thought I read somewhere that it was called LovEvolution....?

FUCKKKK!!! does anyone know the OFFICIAL dates?

need to start planning

and yes

I willlll be up there.

I think i want to get a big room. i wanna have a small little "after-after" party.

Posted by bigperf on Apr-22-2009 02:54:

Skills has already posted the after party date for 10-3-09, so assume that's the date for this years love fest. Or maybe they leaked it to throw everyone off....dentist convention is major competition, but the week after is the PGA golf presidents cup at harding park, so there is more competition there...maybe skills will succumb to all the competition and cancel it for a year like germany did.

10/3 is the worst possible weekend for me with my work schedule...same time as last year and I couldn't even take one weekday off. Makes the trip too rushed and everyone's travelling on Friday and Sunday, so this will probably be the first year I won't go.

BUT, I think I'll book a fully refundable hotel anyway, if I have a diff job then everything could be different!

damn what do you do where youre already SOL 6 months in advance? I got sick and had to skip work thursday and friday of that weekend. I think it's going to happen again this year. I also get sick on my birthday, labor day weekend friday, and friday before memorial day weekend. What coincidences!

Posted by in2muzikk on Apr-23-2009 02:33:

Finance w/ tight Corp reporting deadline first week of each month. If anyone's out sick then, I don't think they'd be around later to talk about it...

The week before would have been no problem, so there's always next year if they have it earlier like in years past.

round trip from LA-SFO
Friday depart
monday return
$129
on both united and virgin america.
Doubt these fares will get any lower as those flights will only continue to fill up as October approaches.
