The Pirate Bay: Good or Evil

So do you think The Pirate Bay crew should go to jail, or be left alone? Did they really do anything wrong? Or is actively promoting piracy in an indirect way something that you should go to jail for? Are the entertainment and commercial software industry really trying to take down sites like thepiratebay.org, or are they essentially attacking p2p networks as a whole. What are the possible destinies of p2p? Is there one without piracy, or do p2p and piracy go together like peanut butter and jelly?

Yea, but file sharing is so popular because of p2p networks. You can't have websites that host protected files with a centralized database to search through. That's why we use decentralized p2p networks, so we can get away with it. It's not about taking down the internet. But it could be about taking down p2p
