Tori Stafford: Mom = kidnapper?

You all know the story about the 8 year old girl who got kidnapped in Woodstock...

Am I the only one who thinks that the girl's mom looks exactly like the woman in the surveillance video and also looks quite similar to the composite sketch of the suspect?

You can see the composite sketch here:

I was thinking that too when I watched the news tonight... Can't wait to see how this story unfolds. Poor girl though

The ironic part to situations like this is that the kidnapper is usually affiliated with the victim.

The markham girl that was kidnapped a few years ago was taken by her neighbour for example.

That is a creepy looking sketch though!

The mom looks like such a junkie.

What did you expect?

She's from Woodstock.

It's the only place in Ontario worse than London.

I'd hit it

Am I the only one that gets completely fuckin' creeped out my composite sketches? Jesus fuck.

Also, yeah. I'll put my bets on the mom. Either way, this is a sad situation.

Staring into the composite sketch's eyes is bone-chillingly scary..

as for the mom being the kidnapper too...god knows but it fits in with how she willingly was walking beside a female...

probably picked her up from school everyday too!!

Anytime I've seen the mother on the news she never seems overly emotional about the situation. I've thought that since the first time I saw her on the news....

Could be she can keep things bottled up and stay composed?? I don't know... I don't know if I could stay composed if my child was missing this long....

That would be absolutely disgusting if the mom was acting this entire time and demanding that the cops and media call it an "abduction" rather than a "kidnapping".
Maybe it was all a set up for money or something and it was the moms sister....

ransom is usually demanded within the first 24 hours
and as long as it's be now, I think sadly, the girl is dead by now

Exactly!

She doesn't seem to be acting like someone who has a missing child. Just the way she answers questions from newpapers/reporters and everything, it just doesnt seem right. Like when they are asking her 'do you have any clue who the women in the tape/sketch is?' her answer is always 'I have no idea', whereas the dad/other relatives are trying to brainstorm possible people and actually trying to solve this thing while the mom just acts clueless the whole time. And another thing was they asked her like if she was possibly involved and she responded along the lines of 'no, I am not involved, I took that lie detector test to prove it'.... which sounds like her getting defensive about it, as if she has something to hide. Funny thing is the results of the test haven't come out yet. Another thing... When someone pointed out that Tori (girl) was shown in the surveillence video it seemed as if she knew the women because she was holding her hand and sorta jumping around in happiness, and the mom's response was 'yeah, she was acting out of character, she doesn't usually jump around like that', which just seems like she is making bad excuses to try to get attention away from her. If someone told me 'by her behavior we can tell she knew the women' I would say 'awesome, lets use that fact to try to find her', but instead, shes all 'yeah, definietly didnt know the women'.

It seems like the cops/media are trying avoid bringing her up as a possible suspect, but in the article about the composite sketch in the star they mentioned how one reporter at the media conference, something along the lines of 'hasn't it been noticed that the video/sketch looks quite similar to the mother', and the cops just sort of brushed it off like 'no one is being eliminated as a possible suspect".

I am almost certain that she either is involved or knows what happened. I am also pretty sure that she is the cops main suspect but they are trying to actually get some evidence before they say anything.

Overall the women just seems sketchy to me; if I had my 8 year old daughter abducted by a stranger I would probably be going insane.

I think the cops/media are being reluctant about bringing in the Mom as a possible suspect because of what happened with Madeleine McCann's disappearance in 2007 - the parents were the prime suspects for quite a while and I believe it was a completely wrong lead (took the cops a whole year to lift the "suspects" status from them)

Posted by Knox on Apr-23-2009 13:58:

The report on Global News last night was edited and chopped. They seem to be trying to sway the public's mind right now. The people from the neighbourhoods that they showed the picture to in the news report all had similar responses "She looks familiar." "I recognize that face a litte bit". etc. etc.

When a friend and coworker of mine http://www.aliciaross.ca/ was abducted, for the whole first month, the cops went after her boyfriend, which really was a nice guy. He got fed up with the constant daily interrogations, he finally got a lawyer to speak on his behalf and guide him. Cops and her family blamed him for that long because he got tired of speaking to the cops and kept silent after a week, and boyfriends are always the biggests suspects. Even I got interviewed after they gave up on him.

It turned out to be the sick neighbour of hers who was a loner and chronic masturbator, and she likely cought him wanking in the bushes and then killed her.

reminds me of the "Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold - the murderer was also the neighbour noone suspected

Mom of Tori Stafford angrily reacts to suggestion sketch of suspect looks like her
1 hour ago

WOODSTOCK, Ont. The mother of Victoria Stafford says any suggestion that a composite sketch of her daughter's abductor looks like her makes her laugh.

Tara McDonald says people who are making that suggestion on the social networking site Facebook should be ashamed.

At a news conference, McDonald says the sketch looks nothing like her and adds she knows she had nothing to do with her daughter's disappearance.

She says the composite sketch reminds her ex-husband of a high school classmate, but McDonald adds she doesn't recognize the face and that she and Rodney Stafford went to different schools.

Victoria, known as Tori to her family and friends, went missing April 8 after leaving school.

In addition to the sketch, police have released a grainy video of the Grade 3 student walking with a woman outside her school the day she went missing.

OK.

I had this picture professionally analyzed.

Jewel did it.

How on earth did they get any kind of sketch from that video? At a max resolution of 320x240, and at that distance, I just looks impossible to make anybody's face out.

is Nadia Comaneci Will farrel's brothers wife in Step Brothers? Because that actor is the one I immediately thought of when I saw that sketch....

It was from an 'independent witness', whatever that means... its not from the video

1. The mother never seems all that upset

2. She seems to be really enjoying the media spotlight

3. She never misses a chance to hold her own press conferences

4. She has stated herself, that the police have not told her whether or not she passed the lie detector test.

5. She also owns a white coat (how many people actually own a white coat) what are the chances...the police took it for examination last week.

6. The fathers family have told police they think they know who the person in the video and composite is.

It's all a bit fishy...but I sense the police know a lot more than they are letting on. I just hope that poor little girl is still alive and will be OK!

1- How do you 'seem' upset? should she be crying 24.7?
2- The more attention on the case the more people watch and learn and become aware. Maybe someone will come forward from colorado; it's happened before.
3- same as above.
4- Of course, until the case is closed all information will be with held by the baconators.
5-huh?
6- same as number 4, the cops don't release all new evidence to the public, they specifically dont want us to start investigating...

No one can assume "i think it was the parents"! This isnt the game clue, its a long and arduous process.

I am not denying that the truth is very ambiguous and so far everything is based on assumptions and guesses by people like you.

The investigators are not stupid, they are always a few steps ahead of the public while being one step behind a criminal.
