you sure you didn't fart.

Posted by DjWoody on Apr-24-2009 00:22:

Damn! I must be one farting machine to cause a 3.8 earthquake! hahaha

Posted by gerard6975 on Apr-24-2009 00:22:

didn't feel shit. must be some heavy machinery passing by.

Posted by DjWoody on Apr-24-2009 00:30:

Nope! No heavy machinery. It was an Earthquake. It was relatively small, so that's why only some people felt it.

if you have to ask... then it wasn't worth mentioning

Posted by skell on Apr-24-2009 04:59:

We've had 4 of them tonight. The 4.0 jolted us quite hard here at my house. We were literally on top of that one. Busy night on our local fault (busy April too).

Glad you mentioned this. I wasn't sure if it was an earthquake or if I was having some sort of flashback. I was in my basement studio and I felt a jolt, but it didn't feel like an earthquake for some reason. My wife was two floors above me and she didn't feel anything. Eh, whatever. If it isn't a 5.0 or above, it's really not worth mentioning.

Only kidnappings for ransom...and monsoons.

Well don't fuck with the cartels. And I'll be cool with watching Cali burn on TV this fire season instead of out my window.

You might want to go back and do your homework on that one. The USGS would be a good place to start.

Thank you, Captain Obvious. I'm sure he meant "on a regular basis"

Shit, now I have to come up with another witty, yet derrogatory catch phrase.

He should have said that then. I'm not a mind reader. All I know is that there is active seismicity in that region. 14 moderate tremors in the last century alone. In fact, the Western Grand Canyon and Flagstaff have recently been identified as 2 notable areas of current seismicity.

And your "catch phrase" was hardly derogatory.

14 moderate tremors in the last century? We've had that in the LA area in the last few months. I think it was pretty "obvious" what DJ Reese meant.

I think it's pretty "obvious" you don't know what a moderate quake is.
