what no koolhaus? no trance headliners?.....
im luving the new benny benassi tool room knights disc.....but not enough to spend $30-$50 to see him spin it......
a headliner on skybar would have been smart if there's gunna be nuttin in koolhaus.....
i like the graphics on the flyer thou.....
cottage/camping up north sounds like a winner this year.....

Kinda dissapointed with this lineup.

Personally, I think CiRCA stole the show this weekend. I know where I'll be!

i remember the days when Theory used to manage the lineup in the Koolhaus.. ahh

how times have changed!

What else should they be about....they are a business that wants to make money....do you think any club in the city is about the music over profits?

Well, I guess the crowd that goes to this will drink themselves silly.

I, however, will not.

Time to fade away to outdoor psytrance events for good.

i think you're wrong. they have to book good talent which most people want to see in order to make money. any business that doesnt make money will flop. ink has been around long enough to know how do things properly. look how many other clubs have appeared and flopped during that time period. as much as some of you tota's think you are purists, you only represent a very small population of clubbers.

but we are the best clubbers and all club decisions should revolve around our wants and needs....screw the other clubbers....they're not important.

Yes, and Kool Haus should be re-opened so we can have a Tranceaddict Dj Line-up in there

it is a business, but there are record labels out there and clubs that look for new talent, are more open minded and accept the risks. Yes its true they dont make as much money but some of them have been successful (maybe not in Talal's eyes) and have survived. Theory parties in Koolhaus in my eyes have been successful, they have been packed, not PVD packed but still a ton of people inside. Guvernment wants to make the MOST money they can and thats what I believe seperates them from the companies that want to bring out new and different talent. To me its not always about the money, especially making maximum profit, its about diversity in the industry and how it can bring different people together.

now your making all these extra assumptions, its fine if these parties happen but they shouldnt take over the majority of the scene. Let the other clubbers listen to what they like, I respect who they listen to and what they like, they're obviously important because they bring money to these parties. I just believe guvernment could have brought in a few drum n bass dj's, even some techno dj's, it would def make them money since the dnb and techno scene is growing strong in europe.

I think the sarcasm was missed in my post.

Generally speaking, club owners are not interested in finding new and different talent....they are interested in making money. Yes, record labels, promoters, and talent agencies are looking for new talent....but they are rarely actually part of the club.

The lineup at Guv is just getting more and more lame and boring everytime. Perhaps it is time for them to retire for a while and hire a new booking agent.

A good way to go might be getting one heavyweight for the night everyone knows and wants to see and a couple of fresh talents(for Guv anyways).

if you dont think morillo is a big booking then i dont know what is. tons of people flock to ibiza each year and say morillo is one of the best so for ink to have morillo booked in our city is pretty huge in my opinion. just because morillo doesnt suit your taste doesnt mean its a crappy booking.

Hey man. It doesnt look anyone is disputing Guv is booking popular DJ's, and Morillo not suiting anyone's taste is not an issue here at all. The above post clearly states, that it would be great if Guv booked one heavyweight and some other newer DJ's for Guv on the same night, instead of booking 5 heavyweights. I am wondering if this would put a dent in their business, or still attract the same amount of people and this way make everyone happy.

sometimes the lineups for freedom are much worse than that. If they would replace morillo wouldnt even look THAT bad. Acquaviva is pretty good and so is paco. And benassi i would not mind, not that i would come to see him exclusively, but as an extra would be decent. At least better than some PVD or Deadmaus, BJs or cosmic gays or some other gay shit like that...

id much rather hear who is your daddy in the guv than times of our lives or i remember "insert puke icon here" ))

not that im planning to go anyways...
