I only turn to beatport when other sources don't have it because beatport is ridiculous expensive, they easily charge 20% extra for a track.

They are expensive.

And the site is slow as hell. I always mess up and hit the back button on Safari, instead of hitting the back button in the portal. It drives me crazy.

truth is in the middle. The shops decide on the prices. However given certain specifics the label can put it in a certain price catagory.

I'm not far behind you. I hadn't bought a CD or anything in 15 yrs. I recently bought The Killers new CD, Day and Age, and I downloaded my free bonus track from the Wal-mart website.
