Holy fuck I can't wait to see this. I got goosebumps watching it. I know some of you think it didn't follow the cartoons as close as you'd like... ergo the disappointment of the first movie, but I don't care. So many watching it now never seen the cartoons, but loved the movie and will probably love this movie even more. To me the special effects are so specacular... and let's not get on about Megan Fox...

I'm totally down for this one. The special effects are just unreal, and Bay actually brought a certain amount of maturity to the franchise. I get the use of GM cars--someone has to pay the bills, and GM would absolutely love the screen time as a form of advertisement. Money always talks.

Looks great, can't wait to see it. But can I get a holla' for Devastator? I'd love to see some compilation bots in one of these flics (maybe that was the 'bot at the end of the trailer?)

Oh, and totally agreed about Megan Fox. Totally.

Personally, I liked the first one. I really don't care what cars they picked out. This one looks like it will be equally entertaining.

clearly you don't konw much about hte cartoon then. They were mass manufactured by the quintessons (Those five faced beings from the original cartoon movie) as work robots.

Essentially they rebelled against their creators (Sort of like the terminators), and they divided into fractions which would become autobots or decepticons.


Now the whole idea about the origins of the matrix is still unknown to me. It was perhaps created to store the life force of the original autobot leaders and it was passed down to optimus prime (who i believe was the seventh holder of the matrix).


anyways.. the point is they could have tried to stick to the original story line a bit but they totally side tracked. Even beast wars tried to stay consistent with the original cartoon.

now there is some inconsistency here as in an earlier episode the constructicons used to be in alliance with the autobots. and here it shows them building megatron.

so anyways i think they could have at least followed this story line a bit more instead of fabricating something totally irrelevant
