Direct Connect - Server

i heard about a server?

maby we should bring it to life and get us a Password for users of the forums and share some shit to help the situation right now..?

don't use the name ta though

someone just make a group, and then say "pm me for the info"...do it that way....this shouldn't be public

p.s. i would do it right now, but being on vacation hinders me on nearly everything

How about Not posting lists of all your mp3's ?

Do u think that just tranceaddict's and mp3 collector's visit site's like these ?

Would u like to see TA go just as quickly as AG has ?
No i did not think so, so the answer is not to post info on TA on where to get / share etc MP3.

Why u are all panicking is beyond me, Napster died and ppl moved on, there will be another file sharing application around soon enough, So u may be dry or lacking in mp3 for a couple of weeks, deal with it and move on.

U all seem to forget one very important thing, tranceaddict.com is NOT a mp3 site, it's primary purpose is to inform, to share and post information on trance music related matters, to discuss the music that we love etc.

I will say now exactly what i said when Napster was effectively closed down, MP3 file sharing will not die, for a while it will become more underground, but soon enough there will be a new napster / ag and u can all leech to your hearts content again, then in a years time the RIAA will get to that one and U will all be panicking again.

It's a circle of life, one is born and another one dies and so it continues.

Smile

just rename all your mp3's as your own work, then give full permissions for audiogalaxy to share your music. Sure, your depriving the artist of their credit, but meh.

I've made this point in the past, and I think it's about time to make it again: whether pseudo file-sharing between TAs is played out on a seperate server or not, the mere fact that it is TAs doing it, will sooner or later attract attention to this site. If the wrong kind of attention gets drawn here, the site can be closed due to the "new tracks" section on the main page.

The other problem with this is that there's one point of contact to stop the sharing.
And who exactly is going to pay for that kind of bandwidth???
A P-to-P solution is the most viable...

Yeah. Its like a worm (i guess )...you cut it in half, it grows back. Otherwords, like Napster. It died, then you saw WinMX, Kazaa, Morpheus, iMesh, Audiogalaxy, and more come out. So this aint the end of MP3 sharing.
