christopher lawrence + nickolas bennison

I have two tracks by christopher lawrence and nickolas bennison, scorcher and continuation.

does anyone know if these two have done any other tracks together? someone mentioned hook, but I couldnt find anything on that label.

I really like the sound these two produce when they work together and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for similar sounding tracks?

they haven't done anything else together besides the two you mentioned. but if you want stuff in the same vein I recommend you releases from the following labels: Propulsion, J00F, Pharmacy, Source of Gravity.

thanks for the advice, I hadn't heard of source of gravity before, will check them out.

does anyone know if nickolas ever did tracks on hook, or was that just chris?

good stuff, thanks for the update.

is hook going to be doing remixes of their back catalog or is it just new tracks?

Posted by RebeL9 on May-09-2009 06:10:

I didn't even know Hook was going to release new tracks. I thought they were just going to put up their back catalogue.

I have always liked Bennison's work. To top it off he is a really nice guy as well.

Saw Paul van Dyk was charting Continuation, but haven't checked it out yet. Guess I'll head over to Beatport.

Nicholas Bennison - Zero Balance (Reaky mix) is pretty cool imo!

Continuation is prob the best Club Trance track I've heard in a while. Everything about it just seems to be made for a big room at peak hour. The news about Hook is really good also. I just hope they stick to their old style instead of the old producers like Chris Cowie who is making really trendy, commercial house now.

lol Chris Cowie is Hook so...

I realise and I expect some misses, I just hope it's not a trainwreck of 100000000 old producers making trendy, 8th note house instead of what they're really known for.

what a great guy.

I second that. Downloaded Continuation yesterday and it's HUGE. This track has big old balls that's for sure.

Good to see that Lawrence is still producing powerful tunes, same for Bennison. Would love to hear Continuation on a big sound system. Definitely prime time main room material.

Had no idea that Chris Cowie was producing trendy commercial house. Has he had much success with it? He's a fine producer, that's for sure.

Continuation is a class A track. It's one of the those songs that makes you wanna get up and f***in dance.

When Lawrence and Bennison team up it tends to incorporate the best of the old Hook sound with an added edge and power.

Continuation is a top choon.

Lawrence is one of the best producers out there right now, along with J00F and Bennison.
