Burial Appreciation Thread
I first heard this guy's stuff a week ago, and since then have managed to trackdown a few of his productions and remixes.....all I can say is wow!
I havent been so excited since the fantastic productions of BOC, Autechre and Aphex Twin (early stuff)
Incredible - I hope the popularity doesnt get to his head! Becasue I like it how it is now!
Much love, here.
I particularly like Etched Headplate. Archangel is also good.
i think his remix of Bloc Party's track is in one word - Beautiful
GORGEOUS!!!!
I love burial too
Burial - Unite (L)
He doesn't need an appreciation thread because he's appreciated all the time
I won't forget how I felt when I first heard Unite.

Favourites: South London Boroughs, Ghost Hardware, Archangel, Jamie Woon - Wayfaring Stranger (Burial Remix)
i made a burial tribute mix last year, maybe i'll upload it and post it here
I'll mention "In McDonald's" since it's a beautiful little track that never seems to get brought up.

| Originally posted by david.michael He definitely has a distinct sound which has been repeated a lot. But, it's a sound I find pretty amazing... and I haven't listened to enough to be sick of it yet. I'm sure the day will come. (Perhaps after I'm done listening to jupiterone's mix). |
It's something I've been actively concerned with while listening to Burial, so I admit to intentionally throttling my exposure to avoid "ruining it".
i'm getting over it. i like some variation, i think it's what burial lacks. his recent previews on radio 1 were boring, exactly the same as everything else. i mean, some people find this good, you know, not straying away from the artists original direction, but when it's this consistent it gets rather boring
