What interface do you have to record with? If the answer is none, not gonna happen.

think thats all you need to do. i just got a mcbook myself and my buddy said we can record sets through gargeband. suppose thats all he was talking about. run the record to line in on the macbook.

i think the line-input is by default low on a new mac. open up apple-button - preferences - sound - in and see. thats all i can help as i never tried garageband

well that is all you need to do. we recorded a set last nite on my macbook through garageband. we opened up creat a podcast. had a line in from the mixer. and hit record. all you got to do. dont worry about the levels cause you can edit all that shit in garageband. we adjusted levels after the recording. then one of the tabs up top lets you send it to itunes to be converted to cd or whatever. was so easy

1. add new track
2. select real instrument
3. source line-in

Hey peeps, pleasee help!...

ive connected my mixer, output B to the line input (next to the headphone jack on macbook) and opened up garage band (thru create new podcast). When i start recording it seems to be working just fine in garageband, as in i can see the wavelengths on the GB display. When i play it back on GB, its distorted and sounds awful!.. like theres alot of feedback noisse sorta.. HELP please, i really wanna record this mix?.... i decided to change the audio preferences and changed it to "use built in audio input" but this just made it worse, now theres no wave lengths on the GD display when i hit record?... and also, theres all these diff tabs that says "male voice", "jingles" etc..... whats all that? it seems to be recording on the "male voice" tab?

help is very much appreciated..... thanks

here is a different way

try- open new music project. connect rca to the BOOTH OUT on the mixer to the headphone jack. hit record on the bottom and off you go.

but theres this one problem, as im recording and when i play it back, theres this background noise like theres something wrong with the sound quality. its like u can here breathing :S or like weird sounds like a muffled airy sound ontop of the recording? :S

you have to be kidding me... I'm speechless... let's pretend this never happen

Adjust the levels BEFORE recording NOT, NOT, NOT after it

Make sure its set on Line-in and not on Mic
