[REVIEW] SANDER VAN DOORN @ PACHA 5/8/09

so awesome. was a little confused with the switching of the dj's towards the end of sanders set. i'm kind of upset that sander's set wasn't longer though.

was tiesto there? apparently he came in and was in the mez and that's when they dropped lethal industry? not sure, just something which made its way around.

How long *was* Sanders set? Im not sure if hes ever closed while spinning in NYC. well i hear that the night rocked tho

Lethal Industry was Zack's first track of the closing set...great night to come back..great seeing everyone..i missed you all..Zack was just throwin it down from beginning to end..Sander was up and down..and wtf was goin on at the end with the tag team? lol..again thanks for the support guys..

x1000 when he dropped madagascar!!! other honorable mentions i could remember - carpe noctem, airwave, aurora!!! and closing out with silence..great show. im so drained rite now haha

What G no tracklist? You're slacking, am I gunna have to come back there to smack some sense back into you?

theses tracks had to be dropped by Zack..not SvD..sander only played Madagascar

Sander also played some remix of For An Angel...not sure who;s remix that was though, but never heard it before.

Good times last night...actually had no issues with Pacha, cept for getting screwed on the guestlist once again there. But the crowd wasn't too packed, had enough room to dance.

honestly im real disappointing with svd. 2:15 min set that could be stretched to 2:30 with the wierd tag teaming at the end. zack, can i get a comment about that?

im real mad i missed Madagascar, it's possible i was outside or downstairs for that one.

but again...svd threw bombs but what a weak set as far as time is concerned

Haha, you silly goose. I am no where near Jay photon moves. I am a Jay-jedi-apprentice-in-training. We did have a fun circle going and I thought it was cute that we brought the same color photons. Almost as if we had worn the same dress to prom

Yea, I wasn't sure who played Riff. I feel like Zack and Sander played it together.

Last night I was @ Pacha against my doctor's orders [long story], but I still went.
It was gonna be my 1st time seeing Sander Van Doorn perform & in my opinion; he had the best set I've heard from a top Trance DJ that visited NYC/NJ this past year.
It was disappointing he had a 2 & a half hour set & the tag team kinda confused me on what was going on.

As far as the opener & closing DJ. It was ok but not my cup of tea. But it was nice that he played "Lethal Industry" but something went wrong with the audio when that track was on.

I have 2 vids on YouTube & once they "approve" it, I'll put the links here.

Next week: Simon Patterson & Marcel Woods [It's gonna be sick!]

My expirience at Pacha was one I'll never forget. I thought us Miami peeps knew how to party...NOT. You guys are way more crazy then us lol

Zack, pleasure meeting you. You definitely did an amazing opening to SVD and an even better closing set! Definitely will be in NY again and longer so we can party.

SANDER was insane! Got on at 1am, and finished his set aroind 315, definitely worth the trip! HE KILLED it. He kept playing one banger after the other. Some tracks I remember off the top of my head are

That's all I remember for now lol, I know I took 10+ videos of bangin tracks. Plus my pic w SVD. Actually got to meet him, he told me he couldn't believe I actually flew from Miami to catch his set and thanked me haha. Videos & pics once I'm in Miami. I'm actually updating from the airport lol

Sander's set was fierce for the short amount time that he played. It was everything that I was expecting from the guy. But I was really pissed off that he been here for like a year, and he comes and plays a shorter set than he did the last time.

I would of thought that he would of gave a little bit more this time around since he hadn't been here for so long. This was my first time seeing this guy, even though I've been following his work since 2004. But, from what I heard, the last time when he played Webster Hall he played for 3 hours.

Honestly when he walked off after 2 hours I felt like I was being cheated. A guy with a big name like his shouldn't be coming to an important city like NY and playing for only that long. It's disappointing because he's one of my favorite Dj's. I love his sound and I really liked the way he works the crowd, I was feeling his vibe.

But its like if Tiesto came to NY and only played for 3 hours just for one night. It's the kind of shit that just makes me furious What I'm wondering is who decides how long these guys play for, their management or the promoter? Does anyone know the answer to this question?

^ I agree actually. I was not expecting him to just not come back on after walking off, thought he had to go to the bathroom or something hahaha. 2 hrs and 15 minutes, really?
