Star Trek
I honestly don't know how I've been able to contain myself this long, but yeah, Star Trek was fucking amazing. And by no means was I a Star Trek fan going in...kind of the opposite actually.
I almost don't want to say it, because they are such different movies...but it rivals The Dark Knight in terms of hugeness. See it!
Next up...Terminator: Salvation!
I definitely want to see this movie. I am also not a Star Trek fan in any way, but the trailer looks pretty impressive. Maybe I'll see it on Friday.

yeah i thought it was really well done too, and i even got a chance to talk to JJ abrams last week about it!
Saw it last night, and all I can say is WOOW. It's one of those movies that I didn't want to end. I'm honestly don't see anything topping it this summer. Not even Tranformers and Terminator. And this is coming from someone who has never watched a single ST episode before.

SPOILERS:
The whole time travel storyline which created an alternate reality is one of the best ideas I've seen.
yes, enjoyed star trek as well although I'm not a trek fan myself. it wasn't on the list of summer flix I plan to see but after reading all the good reviews I had to go check it out. esp since it was playing in imax, I try to watch as many movies as I can in imax. st is an entertaining and enjoyable popcorn flick for everyone.
however, I'm getting very excited about terminator salvation esp after the new 4 min trailer. I still have over 2 months to wait for the movie I want to see most of all--gi joe. after seeing the trailer for that (having no idea what to expect) it blew me away
damns, thank goodness that post was titled 'spoilers' i just scrolled quickly past it.
im probably the ONLY one who hasnt watched Star Trek yet.
hope to do it this Saturday tho...hehe
in my eyes JJ Abrams can do no wrong and the trailers look KICKASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...and oh i DO intend to catch Terminator: Salvation. Havent read up on it yet. Christian Bale FTWWW...and the fact that its the LAST one (no moarrr please!!!)
So...just curious, is Schwarnegger in this at **ALL**, even as a cameo?

| Originally posted by zizack While I'm looking forward to Terminator: Salvation, I'm a little worried about the fact that it got a PG-13 rating. You'd think this one would be the most violent of them all, but who the fuck knows...They absolutely can't go wrong with Bale as J.C. though. about G.I. Joe, my first impression based on the trailer, is that its going to suck bad lol. I'm mildly interested to see the Snake-Eyes - Storm Shadow fight they show in the previews. Other than that though, idk. Marlon Wayans? C'mon. I'm sure I'll end up seeing it though. |
I hate anything with the word "star" in it...that includes Trek, Gate, and Wars but being married to a nerd I know somehow I am going to be forced to watch this at some point.
I am however definitely looking forward to the new Terminator flick
totally catch star trek on imax tho u might need a few minutes after the movie to adjust from the sensory onslaught that you just witnessed
SPOILER ALERT
so for those that have seen star trek (loved every minute of it ) but the plot was a lil similar to 12 Monkeys in the sense that it was basically a continuous loop so anything after the 130something years the story portrays there really isn't a future because once he goes back in time (both of them) the timeline is already set in stone the ultimate result is always going to be the same, romulus gets destroyed nero comes back an so on an so forth but the outcome never changes
kinda predestiny so to speak
thoughts on that anyone
