The Set That Never Was...
Funny story,
so its april 16th and im all excited to dj @ club numbers. i work on my set all day and my intro the previous night. i get my cds and i start the burnin and i practice my set a few times. around 8 donfili and his bro arrive @ my house and we get the chattin and the drinkin. so were jammin preparing for the night. everything was smmooooth sailing. we arrive at the club and we get the drinkin... once again. mad fun, my peeps start showing up zeshin is already there and his peeps are there too. then more of my old buddies show and peeps i havent seen in fucken years! so im tellin peeps "yea ill be on at midnight!"
i go upstairs to check out the mixer and im all like "fck yea rane rotary!!!" and i look @ the cd decks and i wasnt as excited. so another dj comes up and brings his cd decks and ones a gemeni (correct me if im wrong) and the other was a denon. so this made matters a bit worse. after mike attacked me with more drinks i tried to dodge some but took in a few. then i was like.. hmmm... this might suck. So i licked my chops and tried to get into the groove.
so i djd and i tried to play my tracks as they are in this set but i only played a couple of them and i wound up sounding like a retard. pretty bad. really bad. decibel levels were fucked and i brought some back up vinyl and i had to use em. so i went from cd to vinyl and the decibel levels were all off and i was just frustrated like heck!!!!
what followed after was like i lost a cock fight but i didnt beat myself up so much. me and the left over crew went to katz's to grub and we had a few laughs and all. i posted up the ipod versioin for right now since it has pics of the night which will bring back memories. hope yall enjoy!
ps. we could have used more don fili in the pictures.

Denon CDJ's should be banned from all clubs. Those things are total crap.

yea matt i def agree,
i think the low quality dj products put out by denon/numark and the like should be banned from everyclub in texas by state law. lol. i should have been able to operate but me being inebriated did play a factor in it too. o well. i just hope i made a good enough impression for don fili and mosely and their guests.
Denon's not really low quality though. Their dual CDJ's are the best there are. It's just the crappy ass design of the 3500's or similar on the single CDJ's they make. The damn platter is so freaking sensitive that it makes it damn near impossible to mix on.
