WOW, is this for real? I saw this on his website firsthand, and now here (to confirm). Joris Voorn is a music genius. There is no way I am missing this one. Finally good to see that he is coming to Toronto.

Too bad it had to take an essential mix to finally bring him to Toronto. Unfortunately, his sound on that new Fabric album is a bit different from the Joris Voorn deep detroit-flavoured style of techno and house that I like (i.e. his new stuff is not the same as his stuff in 2008 and earlier (Future History).

He's shifting more towards Basic Channel type of sound, and less Detroit.

On the other hand -- really fantastic north carolinian friends that I like never get to see (plus the whole festival factor... even if it aint electronic)
