tips for a newbie
hey all,
i'm coming out from grand rapids, and this will be my first time at the festival. particularly looking forward to ellen allien, tiga, tiefschwarz, audion... ah fuck it, there's too many to list.
anyway, i'm curious if anyone has parking tips (i'm going to be staying with my cousin in mt. clemens and making the commute down every morning). also, in terms of food and water, how much stuff do they allow in the park? i know lollapalooza only allows two sealed water bottles, for instance. how early should i show up for will call? what's the setup like in the park - how many djs play at the same time? when are schedules usually released? thanks in advance for helping a newbie.
I think technically you are not supposed to bring anything into the festival, but they dont search you all that thoroughly, so I would just sneak a bottle in or whatever
or give it to me and I will bring it through the VIP entrance for you
lolz
Or sneak in beer a 12-pack at a time
Any way... Last year the will call line was ridiculous. They only had one line for will call and 5-6 for people buying tickets, but I've also seen it the other way around, so it's difficult to say.
However many stages there are (4 this year) is usually how many DJs are playing at the same time. The schedule is at http://myspace.com/detroitmusicfest
Got another newbie question
Is there re-entry with a wristband (weekend pass)? I haven't been able to find this information anywhere.
