I can browse and play at the same time.

Heh, I didn't notice the link.

I like the high end sizzle that you hear before you play with the resonance.

This is nice. Also the part after the reso spikes. [its not a 303, no reso spikes please ]

Love the filter and envelope on this machine:

Yep the Phatty is cool, and sound very different then my Voyager.
I use the phatty for electro type leads. The TAURUS basses in in the presets are also good starting points for nice leads, also try the arp, together with hold

yeah sounds nice man

Posted by DNA_pl on May-16-2009 14:28:

wow sounds great.

please, could you record some standard C note with just pure oscillator sound ? Saw wave, Square etc. ? And maybe with some low pass filter cutoff, reso going going from min to max ? That would be great.
I was always wondering about the differences between oscillators included in softsynths and pure analogs. Never had any analog :|

ps. and It looks gorgeous. Some ppl buy some famous paintings, for me : analog synths are quite similar to such paintings - simply a piece of art with actually a soul

I got one, I use it in every track i make.

I`ve used it in for bass in the last 25 tracks or something ive finished the last 6 months.

This thing is gonna stay with me for life, nothing virtual comes close to the bass from this thing.

Here's a little demo:

http://jbj.raceriv.com/sounds/littlephatty3.mp3

1. Raw squares
2. Raw saws
3. Square with high resonance, cutoff going from high to low
4. Saw with res at about half, raising cutoff; then switch to square and lower the cutoff; then turn up the overload (distortion) and raise and lower cutoff again.

LOL. Don't start that one again - it's not like we need anymore burning threads here!!

I love the SE1 and the ARP 2600 but I have to say the little phatty is great piece of kit. The main thing that gets me every time is the sheer depth of the bass.
