This is the second mix from me... Although its not perfect I do feel that this is technically miles better than my last one. I went for a darker, less organic feel than last time, but it may sound too plink-plonk for some of you. Feedback and comments welcome, enjoy.
My connection's practically dead at the moment, so I can't seem to really download anything. But I'll grab this when I can, it looks good.
I'll give it a gander.
Trill. Sorry I missed out on the brownie sesh.
peep dis
In!
I read somewhere else that you got Traktor. Did you make this mix with it?
Yes, I did this in Traktor and two borrowed Technics.
edit: I'll also add that I haven't really taken full advantage of Traktor features since I'm still getting the hang of it, but I plan on experimenting with all the looping and other functions in my next mix.
I'm in! Thanks man.
The mixing was a lot tighter this time around. I could barely hear the mixing, which is a good thing!
This kind of music isn't really my cup of tea (you know I like my stuff Deep and groovy), but it was still enjoyable for me. The mood stayed consistent throughout, and it did seem to get more groovy towards the end. The mix was definately dark, and I could see this mix playing out in some grungy basements in the creepy parts of the city

A lot of this stuff wasn't really my cup of tea but if you're planning on using this as a promo tool for the local area I think it'd go over very well.
Keep on truckin' homeslice.

Thanks for the reviews Austin and Adam. Heh, I'll have to admit that I sort of was targeting Atlanta promoters with this mix. Another goal with this was to sort of get the hang of Traktor, and next time I plan on taking more advantage of its features.
I guess the reason I went so wonko with this was that its been a while since I've heard a mix of it that I enjoyed...so I decided to try my hand at it. That, and I've kind of been getting sick of the tribal/latin sound that I seem to be hearing everywhere lately.
Sorry I can't supply a direct link Az, I added sendspace though.
We are both targeting different groups of promoters/crews with our mixes. I take it that this mix will find its way to a Bazzar promoter, while my mixes end up being passed out at Lava Lounge/Cenci. Different groups, different tastes. Is wonko an official genre now (cmon Ishkur)?
What club is playing Tribal House
wonkNO. Like techNO
Finally listened to the whole thing on the way to the office this morning. I actually started this up 2-3 times before but either fell asleep or hit the wrong button on my MP3 player or whatever other reason there may be. Anyway I really enjoyed this. Spooky minimal-tech is what I'd call it. Some great tracks in there! Only a couple of instances where the beats weren't completely aligned but other than that I thought ti was great. Track selection was great, everything fit in really well.
Good job! Would make for a great opening set.
GREAT!!!
GREAT I TELL YOU!!!
I listened to your set three to four times in my car, and what should I say... its amazing! great groovy trackselection, nice mixing... thanks!
Thanks for the reviews guys. Already starting to think about where I wanna go with my next one.
I have yet to listen to your new one Adam, maybe I'll pop it in on the way home.

this is the kind of music i've been really into lately and the mix itself is fantastic. this would be a great mix to give to people who always wonder why i freak out when somebody calls cascada "techno"
Finally hit play on this, I almost forgot that I had it
Will comment later
Edit: "Envy" has some fucking groove!
