Bas - Live on Twilight Nation Radio

So I did this 2 hour set for a friend's radio show on beatfreaksradio.com, it aired last Thursday but the Beat Freaks guys messed up and played the set from the previous week before switching over to mine. I was pretty pleased with it and figured I'd share, thoughts are always welcome

Will give it a go when I can but I gotta say this type of sound has been wearing really thin for me as of late, so it may be a while.

I thought this was going to be a radio station where like the opening of your set was going to have some guy saying "It's the Edward Cullen power hour and my parents won't let me out of the basement to feed, so here's an Egyptian playing blips and bloops for a while".

That's 6 for me, lol. I'm actually on the opposite side of the fence though, this is exactly the type of music I'm digging right now. This, and the Culprit sessions mix are a perfect example

Pretty damn cool set Bas, but I have to say that I liked your live set from the Standard A LOT more. You definitely had your groove on there. Obviously mega different situations for putting together a mix though!

I'll be giving this one another few listens. I did miss a few bits here and there (telephone, etc.)

Is this the same as the tahiti brown mix?


If so, I liked all the tracks. A few spots here and there on the mixing but tracks made up for it..

The Tahiti Brown mix was just to promo for The Standard gig, this was recorded last Wednesday to air on Thursday for their radio show. They kind of caught me off guard with their setup and there was a ton of weed being smoked so I got pretty stoned at around the 40 minute mark lol

well i guess i'll be d/ling this when I get home...i dug the hip house quite a bit. haven't heard the stuff since the jungle brothers.

Just gave this another listen. I got into it much more this time. I think I missed too many bits last night, and lost the flow or something.

INteresting set, never heard of any of these tunes before, but I really liked that remix of Depeche Mode. Always liked Peace Division very much, too.

Good stuff.

i like it but it was nothing extraordinary but good shit all around really. no mixing flaws or anything, that track sampling see line woman was good

Yeah they had the volume way way down, I don't know why that is. I'll take a look at it tonight, try to increase that.
