Ex-Globalive employee gets revenge by leaking the crap out of the upcoming carrier’s!
Okay, so get a load of this. Apparently (please note the emphasis) a former employee of Globalive aka Global Wireless, the next big Canadian wireless provider that is building a UMTS / HSPA network with service planned for all provinces and territories excluding Québec, recently got canned for “poor performance in marketing”. This of course led to him logging on to HoFo and leaking everything about the carrier’s plans except what the CEO ate for breakfast. There is tons of stuff to cover and the slides are pretty grainy at best, so we’ve taken the time to write it all out for our Canadian friends. Now hit the jump and prepare to mess yourself because if even half of this stuff is true, the Canadian wireless landscape is about to make a serious shift for the better starting in Q4. Just one question — why no BlackBerry love?
Thanks, “Ex-Global Wireless Employee”!

I'm off my contract and paying month-to-month now, in anticipation for these new competitors to come on board!

meh...
Rogers is still cheaper, with their posted rates.
Maybe some of the other carriers will offer other promos.
been dying to see this information ever since the spectrum auction results came in ..
Honestly it's good to see Globalive taking on the competition head on like this and STANDARDIZING stuff like FREE Incoming Calls which is pretty much commonplace in most parts of the world.
Assuming for a moment that those rates listed are in fact true and not photochops, I wonder whether they include the SAF.
Could the Canadian Wireless Price gouging days finally be nearing an end in the face of something we haven't seen in ages... COMPETITION?!?
Your paying almost the same price, but ... you get so much more back. Look at the VP details and don't forget, all the extras we had to pay for is included now.
example $30 350min, E&W free, call waiting, call display, VM & etc etc etc ..... and unlimited text in Can + US.
1.) Unlimited Nationwide Calling
2.) No extra fees at all
3.) Good international calling rates
4.) 75% Handset Exclusives
5.) No 36month Contracts
6.) No CDMA
7.) Walkie Talkie on All Phones across the Entire Network
8.) Fastest in Canada
9.) 30GB is our Unlimited, not 5GB or rogers "$30 for 6GB"

lol, funny thing is that the guy denies it, then asks what people think of the plans posted on HOFO!
lol at this point it's hard to believe anything out there. There have been so many photochops in the past on false pricing plans and phones just to get everyone all riled up.
Though one can certainly hope!
now this gives me a reason to unlock the iphone and move over to globalive for their unlimited minutes and data.
i just dont want to ever fucking worry about minutes or data in my fucking life again...
finally.. everything can be unlimited
p.s FUCK YOU ROGERS... I HOPE YOU ARE SHAKING AT THE PROSPECT OF EVERYONE LEAVING YOU FOR UNLIMITED PACKAGES
