Anyone know how to mix out from breaks to trance and vice versa?

I have Mike Koglin - The Silence (Tekara mix), and I'm having troubles mixing out. I can get the bass to thump right to the breakbeat structure, but me and my friend both think that it sounds kinda awkward.

mix the highs
there is usually something in the high end to mix with like a snare or high hat or something like that, mix those and you're good to go
