Maybe you should make Slylee your Prime Minister?!

Poor old guy...every rib in his body broken

Don't believe in the Death Penalty under any circumstances (And before anyone comes out with the "what if he killed your family?" bullshit, let me fire a quick 'fuck you' in your direction )

I do think life should mean life though. Personally I would find the prospect of spending my life in prison and never having my freedom again worse than facing the death penalty.

I think they should break those guys ribs, cut off their fingers and do other horrifying torturous practices to them, every single day for the rest of their lives. Part of a finger per day? Sounds pretty good to me. Hang those bastards up by their toenails and electrocute them every time they squirm. One joint per finger, one rib, every single day, and if it heals, just re-break it!

How on earth could anybody be that cruel to that old man? It's so terrible to even think of, some defenseless old man getting tortured over what was probably a couple grand. Just makes me want to murder those evil bastards that did that

These guys should have been found guilty, taken out back and immediately shot.

+1 they deserve every bit of that. Poor old guy had to die so tragically.

shame on the old chap. i don't understand anyone who could knowingly do this to someone so defenceless. it's horrible.

My theory is that england is a country that is slowly slipping apart. Sadly in much more apparent ways than the US.

Not saying it wont/isnt happening here... its just its a bigger place with a lot of different cultures. England just seems to be... I don't know. Going down the tubes. Sad really.

How so?

Posted by 72hrpartyanimal on May-22-2009 00:07:

just a quick question,

do they have a "meth" problem in the UK? i know in different parts of the US, mostly rural areas like in the midwest, there is what some consider and "epidemic" going on.

just wondering if these jerks could have been meth heads, crack heads, bangers or what?

Posted by ZeJayMan on May-22-2009 00:11:

not as far as i'm aware. more of an issue with Heroin and crack cocaine in the UK.

Scotland used to have terrible issues with drug related crime as well. I've always lived in parts of Scotland where i've seen the problems first hand though. It does seem to be getting better though. A lot of regeneration is taking place. Don't get me wrong it's still terrible in some parts, but I would agree that England seems to be getting worse before it's getting better.

Just the trends in terms of crime and other factors. Their respect for personal freedom and privacy is also a concerning factor.

Most of this is coming from what Ian says though lol... so it might be a bit biased. He hates England.

That's stupid.

So you're gonna have the same people who tortured that old man chill with the rest of the cowards that hang out in prisons? When you torture someone like that, via breaking their ribs, cutting off fingers, face, breaking back, neck, etc. That's fucked up, that's like on the same level as beheading, it's just unnecessary. These dudes who torture people are gonna get the same treatment as prisoners in for lame sentences like tax fraud or armed robbery. I say torture them back.

Btw, I don't exactly support waterboarding either, torture in general is a bad idea, but I think the assholes who engage in it should get a taste of their own medicine.

So you dont advocate torture on terrorism suspects yet you do on punks?

So killing 3000 people is fine and dandy no problems there... but one old guy?

That's a pretty vengeful outlook, I don't like to think like that. I think a lot of other things come into play, guilt included. What's more torturing going to do for anyone? What's done is done.

I don't think prison is fine and dandy like everyone thinks, let alone a life sentence. If you're there for tax fraud, chances are you're just out of luck.

I see what you're saying, I don't advocate torture on anyone, even people who tortured terrorists. I think we should investigate the people who authorized it, but cutting off the fingers of the members of the Bush Administration isn't going to solve anything. Waterboarding is technically different than these dudes, because people don't normally die from it. I just think it's a little silly to treat lunatics like these criminals in the OP's story just like every other prisoner.

I dont think you are making the connection still...

Killing one guy, brutally I'll give you that, does not compare to the madness to recruit and train men to fly into buildings using hi-jacked jets. Granted the blood was not on these peoples hands directly, but they were looney at some level (and incredibly intelligent and dedicated).

I'm still not sure I understand. Are you trying to defend waterboarding, or entertain the idea of torturing potential terrorists?

Posted by Scottaculous on May-22-2009 03:37:

I would send them to their maker. For that heinous act, they just forfeited their right to live.

Posted by Soeder on May-22-2009 18:18:

With their name and picture published, i don't think the life sentence will be that pleasent. Prisoners got their own way to take care of these types if they're not isolated.

On a serious note, if you're not gonna eat it, don't kill it (Jungle rule #1).
