Technics Model

Ok, I've been searchin ebay for a pair of TT

and I come across diff TT models for Technics....which are the best?

Do they perform the same or just diff models for diff countries?

The Technics are the same, the difference is the color (silver & black)..

Well, there are Models for Home Use, i Guess you are looking for the DJ ones USE, so look for the models mk2 1200 or mk2 1210

well what about the m3d's and the mkII's?

I'd like to know the exact differences.. I've heard things about clickless pitch and difference in wow and flutter.

Clickless pitch
Pitch reset button
Recessed power switch
Spare stylus holder
Hingeless covers (some rare models have magnetic hinges)
Renewed circuitry (basically same layout as old mk2 but newer components)
Some people claim the torque is different. On some models maybe, but on the most m3d's I played there is no difference whatsoever.
And finally it comes with a slipmat with special coating (can be bought separately now).

Just a tip...I would be careful about buying used technics off of ebay. I almost got burned ones. I made a good decision to back out of the deal once i noticed the seller not being 100% upfront about the condition and age of the turntables. Oh well..had to pay him 20 something bucks for the ebay fees..but it was a good decision to buy 1200's that I could test out.

I actually got a chance to test out the pdx2000's last week.. those tables are just insane.. personally I like em better than the techs. Torque is insane, start up and stop is incredible, and the reverse takes about 1/2 second to completely reverse the platter, way faster than I anticipated. the pitch is alittle lighter feeling, and clickless, but still very good.

When I upgrade tables I will go for the 2000's or possibly the ttx1's.

And why do you need al this??
I mean i thoght you are spinning trance...

There ARE other models of technics, I have SL-D303's which are ok, but i wouldn't suggest them to anyone, they have a wheel for pitch instead of a slider, which is pretty evil, the pitch range is also less than for 1200's (5%) the torque and stop time is also less than 1200's.

Because, the more and better the tools at your disposal are, you have more creativity options. Besides just because you spin trance doesnt mean you cant or indeed shouldnt make use of extra features.
