Hmmmm...1 was different from 2..although i really like 2...but to sum them up...quality...isn't that what really matters?

Mizzz

Posted by Twilogoddess on Mar-30-2001 01:00:

hmmmm I don't think in search of sunrise 1 & 2 are progressive. Tiesto is the quintessential epic trance DJ.

Posted by lexiconavenue on Mar-30-2001 01:43:

hmmm..

twilo...not sure if you've heard tiesto's sunrise 2, has many a progressive cut on it.
[yes he is known for his voyages...but what takes us there? its' progressiveness.]

ps - yes mizzuno, 1 & 2 are different from each other (hehe)

Lexi

Posted by Twilogoddess on Mar-30-2001 01:56:

perhaps in search of sunrise 2. But I don't think any of the trance dj's we love are progressive. What takes us on voyages is the track selection combined w/incredible programming & mixing. ie pvd.
where are u from again?

Posted by lexiconavenue on Mar-30-2001 02:26:

Question ummm...ok.

tx...y, u coming down to see me?
by the way, im not understanding how being progressive in any way affects track selection. i love the same dj's you guys love. when i say progressive, im not necessarily segregating one particular style. im saying the actual mood of the song is progressive, whether its the actual progressive trance, hard trance, melodic trance, etc. etc.

Be Cool!

Texas! whoa. neva been. Have u been to NYC/Twilo?
True True. I thought u meant the DJ's were progressive. Yes we do have the same taste & u know ur shit. Medway- My Release (Lexicon Ave remix) is Fierce!

At the last Innercity-party (30th of december) Tisto played in the Progressive-hall, and he didn't play any uplifting tune so you can call him a fullworthy progressive-dj IMO. Don't how he spins abroad but here in Holland he already changed to progressive.

Posted by MysticSoul on Mar-30-2001 14:25:

Smile try these....

Push -"Strange world" [Hardly Heller rmx]
Brother Brown - "Starcatching girl" [Sander mix]
Peice Process "Deepside" [Chab mix]
Cass - "Genesis"
Satoshi Tomiie - "Love in traffic"

Those are a few that would top my list right now

I totally agree..there are many forms of progressive...i don't think its jusrt one type of trance..

I think you're thinking of 'Crazy Malamute' who does a pretty cool song called "Free To Ride"

I saw Tiesto at the Gatecrasher party at Limelight last month. He played all epic trance closed w/Silence.

Progressive doesn't just apply to trance. Epic shouldn't be confused w/Progressive trance as they are completely different.

not really

Although he does spin epic/techo at live events, when he makes cd's, he has other motives in mind. His cd's are much different than what he plays out (with the exception of magik 6)
