Will H - Across State Lines [various house]

My latest mix, entitled "Across State Lines" is bit more upbeat than the previous one. I've been in Oklahoma for going on 6 months now; and things have been going pretty decent, but with living in Enid comes a lot of traveling. Storm chasing, going to the City, and just out and about exploring.

Starts off with a deep sound in the first two tracks then ramps up fairly well with an older track "Vice" and doesn't stop from there. There's a point later on where things kind of get a little more moody (Who Cares/Givin the World to You/A Lament)...but then jumps back up with some funk before finishing off with some nice progressive.

This mix has a lot of overlays in here...so the tracklist might be a little strange looking. But the various sounds that came out of it are pretty cool.

1. Matteo Matteini & Manuel De La Mare - Celebrate/Confident [MidiDropMusic Remix/Scope's 212 Mix]
2. Pete Moss - Truth
3. Solaris Heights - Vice [Original Dub/Original Vox]
4. Kris B & Nosmo - One For The Road [D:fuse & Hiratzka Dub/Mix]
5. Danny Clark & Jay Benham - Don't Feel Like It's Over [Dub Tech Mix/Instrumental]
6. Alkatraz feat Amanda Wilson - Nightshift/Surrender [Richard Grey Dub]
7. JayC Feat Nathan Thomas - Multiply [Thomas Gold Mix]
8. The Attic - Remember Tomorrow [Michael Feiner Bonus Remix]
9. Adam K, Soha - Who Cares
10. Josh Jackson - Givin The World To You [Original Mix/Thomas Gold's Vox Cut]
11. Zoo Brazil & Glenn Morrison - A Lament
12. Re-United - Sun is Shining [Funkerman Remix]
13. Boom Jinx & Oliver Smith - Sunrise [Jaytech Remix]
14. Eddie Thomeick feat Micheal Feiner - Don't Let Me Down [Joachim Garraud Mix/Original Mix]

well if its any consolation, at least you can't give me any crap for the album art. if you don't like puffy white clouds, you're a bastard.

The track playing at 56:00 completely copies the chord progression from Sasha's "Mr. Tiddles."

Track at about 38 mins sounds like it's straight from an old Mega-Man game .... Awesome! The two tracks after that one are probably my favorites from the whole set, ID's plz?

I'm not too keen on that Sun Is Shining cover, I don't like that voice at all. Original lyrics would have been win. But it was the only track I didn't like, and that was just because of them vocals. I've probably asked this before but I can't remember, do you use abletron or cdj's or hwatt?

All in all it was a great set, spot-on mixing, top notch tunes and decent flow. It did just what this music is supposed to, make me happy!

Keep up the good work Mr. Bills.

I found this mostly enjoyable. A bit too "vocal" for me, but I kind of expected that since it's house.

haha @ the megaman commment; i never thought of that, but you're kinda right! the two tracks after that particular one (Remember Tomorrow) are "Who Cares" and "Givin the World to You". i took out the vocals from the original version of givin the world to you; and cross fed in the ones from Thomas Gold's Vox Cut, just cause it seemed to sound better.

Hey Will, I finally listened this morning.

It was some sort of fun and hands in the air House set. I enjoyed it even though it smells of unicorns and dead rodent5 at various points, lol. It's just a fun, hands in the air, let's have a good time mix.

The mixing is really fucking tight and it flows very smoothly. You programmed it perfectly, really well done.

Me likes!

Very smooth flowing and great sounding all along. Although this mix and your previous (Rehab) are of different ideas and style, I definitely think you've gotten better with this mix (I enjoyed Rehab too btw )so keep it up, and thanks for the awesome music!!
