No SD plans currently, however it is only an hour or so drive so I can always make a last second decision to come down.

Danny Tenaglia doesn't look too bad June 19th. Never seen him live but have heard good things.

Clusterfuck? If you aren't on a table or near a table, you are screwed!

I was in Vegas. Friday night @ Tabu w/ Roger Sanchez. Woke up Sat 5pmish...
Sat night, warmed up @ Tao Lounge w/ a couple promoters and some baseball player (I'm not into baseball), name was John Rocker? Tried to get him into XS w/ an ex XS worker but no one was getting in (except I hear Erick Morillo), Steve Wynn was in there so no go the rest of the world...so went to Rain for Oakenfold/Halliwell, then to Jordan Stevens afterhours @ Obsession (fun times!). Oh...taking Lakers w/ the under paid for this night =)

Sunday - Woke up 5ish...Wet Repubic w/ Cedric Gervais and Sharam til end (Cedric even came on dance floor and messed around w/ us for a lil bit). Sunday night...went to Tao for Morillo 2amish...and stayed til the end (9:30am).

Today is Monday/Tuesday morning. I made it from the CA/NV border to the valley in 2 hours and 50 minutes w/ a food stop!

I'm uploading some Morillo Vidz since that event was my headliner...

The weekend started on Friday night.
First Stop- Ferry @ Spin for the last leg of the tour. Both Ferry and Cowboy Mike Played Great sets.

Saturday off To Vegas
After we checked in and got settled we walked down to MGM to get a Fat Tuesday's drink with the extra shot. (we got in after 3 so we missed wet) Walked threw the casino's and shops back and back to our hotel... we tempted to get ready but passed out. Woke up around 4 thinking we could make it to see Jordan play at his after hours.. but passed out again! Guess we where tired from the night before

Sunday:
After a cheep Breakfast at Denny's we got ready and headed to The Plams pool party.
No issues getting in. The drinks where expensive and very weak. Do not think I even got a buzz.
A good mix of people.. Some hot bodies and some well... not so hot. At least the place was not full of juiced up meat heads.
Jorden played the best set imo. It was Sexy and fun perfect for a pool party. Steve Aokie was up next and sucked major balls! He was playing this weird mix of raver like house tracks. He was all over the place.
Egal was on. Cool that he is still doing his thing at his age... but his set sucked too.. I had no idea he was on till we walked over there.
Ran into and met some really cool people though.
Left around 5pm. Over all the pool party was pretty fun. Music could have been better imo.

After a yummy dinner we went to Rain. Checked out Cox for a bit since I have not seen him for awhile.. Was expecting some techno... but played some wired house stuff. blah
Went inside to go see PVD. First Track was For and Angle.. so I thought he was going to be good. So much for thinking...

PVD SUCKED!!! He was all over the place mashing up different tracks from here and there only giving us a taste of each song. Hardly any trance at all.. more house and electro... he really needs to stick what he does best. Do not think I will be seeing PVD again. Have not been impressed with him.

He was done at 4. We where going to leave at 5 to get an hour of robbie... but he played these deep dark dirty dirty tracks that actually had flow. When the sun came up he changed it up a bit playing perfect tracks!!!! I have a new respect for Robbie. He Killed it!!!

Came back to our hotel around 7ish or so to get some sleep. We where going to get up early to check out and go to wet... but slept threw our alarm and woke up at 4. The hotel was calling and even came to our door with security! Opps..
So we walked back down to the strip ate some lunch got a fat Tuesdays and just hung out till it was time to go home.

Over all I had a blast in Vegas.. then you would have to have a large stick in your ass not to have fun there!

Never thought I would say this but Oakenfold destroyed Rain and PVD did not. I heard a few errors during his set but he had an amazing setlist. And Rain is an amazing place. Hated Eddie's set actually and was hoping he would be the highlight of that night. NOPE. Morillo was amazing, Reza was great, and Robbie was great as well.

Rivera is one of a handful of Dj's that NEVER disappoints...

So was Vegas.

I mean for being Memorial and all. It was no where near as packed as it was last year.

Do did you end up going to Tabu Monday night? And that is/was Vegas's busiest weekends. New Years probably has more people, but not quality people like Memorial weekend.

Dude that was a total typo on wanttickets behalf. I saw this:

http://www.wantickets.com/EventDeta...ab_Ultra_Lounge

And i was ready to go check it out since i missed out at the Wet Republic party earlier that day.

We went and realized once we were there that "Dj Vice" was going to be spinning that night. So we left ate took a nap and then went to see Lee Kalt at the Obsession Penthouse after hours place. We got there around 2am and it was dead, but next thing you know it was 4am and the place was PACKED!

What u went to the Morillo show i thought u went to the Love Fest ?

Michelle pretty much summed it up but:

Jordon Stevens - Perfect pool party music! He nailed it.

DJ Aoki - Awful. Honestly think I would have rather heard hip hop.

Swedish Egil - Almost as bad but probably because he followed Aoki. Have to give it to him for still rocking out!

Carl Cox - Started out meh so we went into Rain. Came back later and it was way to deep. Not what I was expecting from him but then again I haven't seen him in years.

PVD - Wtf? Last 4 times I have seen him have been rubbish. I'm done with him.

Robbie Rivera - Was definitely a surprise for me. Was just going to stick around for a little bit but he grabbed us and we stayed until the end. Not a huge househead but he was playing the dirtiest, sickest music! Then when the sunrise began to come thru the windows at Rain, he switched it up perfectly.

Regardless, I had an great time hanging out with my girl and amazing old and new friends. Found the vibe to be very positive which surprised me a bit. Wish we could have made Oakenfold which I heard was pretty good.

And a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped us out!!!

fri night - karma in rio - with jordan stevens, jes, george acosta - fun party - chill mixed crowd - great to meet jordan!

sat night - woke up late and didnt make it out to any edm events- ended up at red rock hotel, drunk, gambled, enuf said.

sun day - love fest pool party - didnt get there till about 4.30ish, only saw mark farina, he was pumpin some fun toones, the place was packed tho (side note, i like the pool party at tao beach better, i like places with)

sun night - woke up late again - went to lovefest at rain - got to party around 3 or 4am - missed carl cox - but pvd was on. the place was really packed but pvd's set was horrible. i mean, he would place a track, then put on another track, no mixing, tracks were all over the place (sealed the deal: his sets has become progressivly worse past couple of times i have seen him, no need to see him ever again) - robbie was great, fun toons.

overall, i am really glad to see vegas puttin on a fun edm weekend. Also, with the success of oakenfold's weekly party at rain, i hope to see more and more edm events in vegas.

jordan stevens is a great guy and was fun to meet him! mucho props!

Damn so much PVD hate was he really that bad......?

Posted by groovedaddy21 on May-27-2009 18:00:

Did anybody notice the sound was kinda off at Rain during PVD? It was severely lacking in bass as though the bassbins were disconnected. Even with proper sound i don't think i would have enjoyed pvd's set. He played a few good tracks but didn't have any flow and was too focused on his laptop. I did have great time with Carl Cox by the pool. wish i stayed there the whole time.

I saw him at ETD Pop the night before and he fucking DESTROYED it! People expect him to play "trance" and are disappointed when he doesn't deliver what they want. I personally like his recent style and find it to be better party music. More energy, more fun, less fluff. If you can't appreciate his mixing then too bad I guess...... Btw he played some SICK remixes, stuff that I never expected to hear.

Posted by pnutttty on May-27-2009 18:24:

yes, pvd's set was that bad.

its not that he didnt play a trance set, or whatever genre set...its the flow of the set that matters. there was no flow. no mixing, or at least, it didnt sound like he was trying to mix.

regardless, i had fun and am happy whenever i get to be in a large edm club, so i had a good time.

I have to agree on his mixing. His transitions were extremely off. But once he got a track going it was for the most part really good imo.
