Google Wave
The new online communication and collaboration tool
This is gonna be good!
demon video wont load
tl;dw
I checked it out, watched part of the video and read the link. Looks utterly fucking pointless. Yeah, the whole purpose is for simultaneous collaboration, but hasn't a chat room already accomplished that? Other people can edit your own shit, and I don't really dig that.
i dont get it
Its neat... but yea... This is just a collection of existing things you can already find on other websites.
If the API is cool maybe I'll play around with it, but I am not bustin my nuts over it like some of the other things google has done in the past.
This is a classic example of shit work. There is no reason for this to be some OMGWTBBQTHISISFUCKINGCOOL app. It is nothing but a central place for it all.
This makes me want to make a website where you can use facebook/myspace/twitter/whatevercrapsocialnetworkingsite all in one place.
Man I really need to stop having ideas that are based off of things I hate in the first place...

| Originally posted by Joss Weatherby No I was more thinking along the lines of how trillian/gaim/adium/whatever combine IM services into one app... make a website that lets you use all these social networking services from one site. So you get all your messages, notifications, pictures, etc on one site. |
