Wal-Mart Distribution Center: Who works at one?

Just curious if anybody else here endures the misery of hardcore physical labor and super high production rates at one of the wal-mart distribution centers? I've worked at one for a year now, and I f'n hate it! I dread the thought of working there, yet I continue to do it.

so go ahead, speak up! who else works at one?

We don't have Walmart here.

If you hate your job, then why not find a better one?

Different country mate. Apparently, from my quick research mission, KMart in Australia is owned by Coles-Myer (a large corp. in Oz).

Sounds much like Sushi and pkc's relationship.

You were dumb enough to apply at a Wal-Mart in the first place, so that's your own damn fault.

My last place I worked very hard but got treated like shit so one day I walked out/quit instead of shooting everyone. Maybe you should as well and it will be memorable and give you motivation for your next better job.

PS. Wal-mart is good for supplies but not food unless you shop on the cheap. (miss college days going up and down the isles until I hit the soda section)

I'm not saying it's a bad place to work. In fact, quite the opposite. I've never even seen a company care so much about there employees. at least that's the way it is at the one I work at. Never had any problems, and all the managers are super cool, not assholes like a lot of people are. i'm not going to quit yet either. there's no where else where i'm going to earn as much as I do there and only work two 12 hour shifts on sat and sun, so I can go to school in the week (and yes, I get paid well there). I graduate school at the end of this fall semester, so then i'll quit. till then, I must endure this slave type work.
