This is amazing stuff. I'm sure there are limitations in how you interact with the computer at the moment, but the technology has huge future potential for interactive gaming.. In 2-3 generations, the graphics and AI could advance to the point of creating a photorealistic virtual world and believable characters to interact with in adventure games, MMOs etc..
It all seems cool, but I really don't want to stand up and talk to imaginary characters while playing a game. Give me a controller any day...

Your body is the controller

Exactly. It's a cool idea. Very cool... but I'm too lazy to do any of that stuff. I've never played wii for that very reason.

Still seems to be suffering from lag and those videos were extremely planned but good future potential.

natal was really cool.
And the presentation from Sony today was very neat (and raw) as well. It really shuts out the Wii as the motion controller platform.

I can't wait until they make an FPS so realistic your TV actually shoots lethal bullets at you.

or when it breaks your leg in a football match. hopefully the physios come out of the TV to help you out

yea I wasn't excited for this either. All I see are problems with improper motion mimicking and major lag issues.

That is truly sick. I'm a bit torn because one of the pleasures of video games is sitting on your ass. This is really an entirely different concept - it sort of replaces going outside and doing stuff, rather than traditional gaming.

i agree with whomever said 'in 2-3 generations'.
is anybody really still talking about how awesome the powerglove *really* was? no.
just like the Wii this is all just a minor distraction for people who dont like play video games to go out, purchase some shit, and play really lame video games|

I'll believe it when I see it. Regardless, I don't want to have to have the training of a navy seal to play next generation games.

Fantastic concept.
This is the evolution of computer architecture & engineering. Makes you wonder what type of technology will be in 20 years
