much like crappy movies that get "Razzie" (raspberry award for dullest/dumbest/most idiotic movies made) I'd like to nominate some of today's EDM for similar award. This stems from cheesy, horrid lyrics or melody (if you can call it that) that sounds like it was blatantly ripped off and glued together from all the riffs you hear repeatedly. Basically, anything that's a complete rubbish that shouldn't have seen the light of CD burner, let alone escaped the confines of a computer that birthed it. Here's my ever-growing list:

1. TiDy - Is it cold (where you are). Silly crap repeated 50x aint' what I'd call your "peak time trancer".

2. Lustral - When my sattelite falls down (hopefully on your head, Lustral) for making such horrid track. I'm all for randomness in lyrics suggesting some double-meaning or secret message, however, I bet even most keen linguists will have near impossible time decyphering this garbage. here's a sample:

"I move along a track,
I pass through every gate that I reach.
My mind is blown away,
I listen to this speech.
Don't compromise your soul,
Gotta help in every way that you can.
When inspiration falls
You'll always understand."

LOL WHUT? Some lyrics like kind above are so retarded they just call for a simple b!atch slap. Maybe I'm just not fluent in etard speak.

3. Alex MORPH feat. Ana Criado - Sunset Boulevard. From sugar-sweet sad melody squarely aimed at your average funeral home party-goers to yet again trite cheesy lyrics that should bear USDA stamp of cheesy goodness - this track is through and through a perfect example of when one overextends and bends "euphoric" trance meaning. Not to mention melody that annoyingly sticks around in your head.

4. Anything by MOU5 or Arnej (could be same person, imo). "Shuffle shuffle fart tisk tisk" was played out last time I intentionally stomped on a rodent with my size 11 boot. Please STOP. No, seriously. Put down the shakers, marracas, fart makers, etc. Do Hip Hop. please. Just leave the scene.

There's more but I'll let others get on this rinky-dinky soap box.

the terry bones dub is actually a favorite of mine. i don't know too much about the original vocal, because i turned it off when i heard the vocals

ahh Come on .. that Aeon Flux uses such a simple melody hook with only like 1 or 2 chord progression... and its only a 4 note melody...

Once a refreshing blend of classic and upfront tracks that I really digged to the bland "snap, crackle, pop" minimal dross he now plays.
