i worked on a dog bite case at my last job. this poor lady was volunteering at a pet rescue place and she was in a closed area with 2 rot reilers (sp) and they attacked her for no reason.

omg the pictures of her wounds were disgusting. i had to have them blown up really big for trial exhibits. she had a big chunk out of her ankle and her entire upper thigh was black and blue with big gashes everywhere.

the pet rescue's insurance company tried to offer her 5k LOL

Wait a sec...

She was a pet rescue volunteer... in an enclosed area with 2 Rottweilers... but was attacked for "no reason"?

she was told to stay there and watch them for a minute in an enclosed area. one of the pet workers left her there with 2 recently adopted rot reilers. it's total negligence. not only that, but 2 rescue workers stood around watching while she got attacked and didn't even try to get the dogs' attention or yell or anything. it was really bad. they vicously attacked her for a good 4 minutes or so before they just stopped and walked away and then the rescue workers leashed them.

Ah, yeah, I guess that was very negligent on the peoples' part. But ffs, if somebody asked me to stay in a room with 2 Rottweilers, I'd fucking know better.

.....and then Ashton Kutcher ran in and pointed at the lady and went "Punk'd! Ahahahahahaha!"

Trucker hat FTW

yea but when you're such an animal lover and you're volunteering, it's easy to not think of those things because you're just giving the animals the benefit of the doubt.

i probably would have been fine staying there to "watch them" for a minute. especially if they were acting somewhat normal.

What are you "watching" them for though? To make sure they don't maul anybody?

Posted by Slylee on Jun-12-2009 13:07:

lol

if i remember correctly, i believe it was an enclosed area that leads to an open area where they are trained and/or can play.

it was just one of those, "hold on i'll brb" type of things. and the lady was fine with it. then it's like the dogs ganged up on her as soon as she was alone.
