Daily flame wars
Yeah trance sucks. Yeah, house is for fags. Yeah, minimal is the choice music among donkeys. Yeah vinyl is what gramps wipes his ass with and digital is for noobs. bla bla bla, at the end of the day, PLUR. c'mon. I have a favorite artist, High Contrast. If you think he's a bitch, theres no reason for you to get the whole message board involved in a personal matter. Come me me at Crenshaw and 4th, I'll fuck you up.
Elitism
We all started with DJ Sammy and Alice Deejay. It's no reason to preemptively place yourself above everyone who is brand new to EDM. Guide someone, don't ridicule them with snobbish remarks. Nobody is better than anyone in terms of musical taste, just different. So, yeah Mr Mystery, you and Kinezi can be friends! You are not of different social class, just different musical tastes. Goodbyte elitism! And stop drinking wine, Pepsi is better.
Arrogance
Sarcasm died in 1998. It wants its sarcasm back. Not everyone has had the joy of seeing TranceAddict mature in the past decade. Back in 2002-2003, nearly every thread in MD was
1) What is your favorite track?
2) What is your favorite track of the week?
3) Do we have too many favorite track threads?
4) Is trance over the hill?
Sometime around 2002, rules were set in place that minimized these threads, and thus came the enlightened period of TA MD. We had threads like...
1) I heard this soft gay beat. Is that house?
2) Do you cry when you listen to trance?
3) If Einstein listened to EDM...
We have new members each day, those who haven't had the time to see how TA MD operates. If they post a thread about their favorite shitty artist, there's no need to poke fun with pictures of unicorns or sarcasm. John Lennon, Let it Be.
Derogatory name calling by affiliation of fan base.
Sheep, fags, queers, unicorns, ravers, kandy kids, etc. There's no need to stay awake at night conjuring the most odd angled terms to label a person based off the music they listen to. Armin has a WIDE variety of fans that stem from ages 15-17, all aspiring to be in different careers and social classes. Astronauts, stock brokers, presidents, etc. Not everyone who listens to house likes gay sex. Some of them just put up with the pain of being softly patted with a penis on their bum, as well as being stroked by soft beats and that you can't really shake a fist at, but merly wave your hand to.

What's up with dat guy? In both MD and CD/Releases as well. ??? Yeah I vowed to be Second Sun's BFF back when I was hearing their original releases, but I mean, shit. You're not married to them. And even if you were, you can get a divorce and all that junk. And if you couldn't get a divorce, burn the house down while their sleeping. I'm kidding. Second Sun reads the forums. Don't burn their house down. But yeah, BT owns and there doesn't ever need to be a reason behind a thread entitled "BT" with nothing inside. Because, that, is pure genius.
Apathy toward the future of the forum
Music Discussion forum is going to shit. Everyone knows it. Few people, few upstanding citizens, patriots (if I may) make very brief statements about the direction of the forum. They often go ignored, or worse, belittled by the elitists who ensure that they, the patriots, are the problems. Somehow, the negative minded mob have become the majority in the house of MD, quelling the voices of those who want to discuss Filo and Peri's Grammy Nomination, the importance of a quote by a certain DJ, or whether unicorn pictures should be deemed a troll-worthy suspension. Nah, Nancy Pelosi earned her seat fair and square. 500 million trancers lose their headphones every month.
Unity (a lack there of)
We are a community. We may not like each other, especially MovingCircles, but there is nothing we can do about our residence's residents. They have paid the fee to ensure a spot in this complex, so we must all just deal with it. We can bicker and tossle and fist each other up our butts about it, or we can come together, kiss and make up. I think now is a good time to just look at each others avatar and just say "hello, my name is X, and I like EDM. Let's discuss music like adults in Music Discussion." Let's start over.
