Drag me to Hell

Just came back from this and I must say it easily eats 90% of the horror movies released in the past 5 years for breakfast

The only other US wide release I can remember that is better is The Descent. Everything else doesn't even come close

When the tomatometer has a fresh rating on anything even remotely horror, it's impressive, and especially so when it extends into the 90 percent range.

And yeah, the movie was a hilariously campy (but still scary) blast that had no delusions of being anything else.

Yes, such a high rating for a horror surprised me. This wasn't on my radar, but it is now. A high RT rating is hard to ignore.

The Smurf Movie was scarier

funny ass movie.. never laughed my ass off since borat movie came out.. great shit.

I loved sam raimis evil dead movies.. all campy and three stooges like.. but this one doesnt measure up..

still good laugh.. not that scary compared to japanese movies..but still some good thrills.

So you're the idiot who went to a Sam Raimi movie expecting it to be scary?

Ever seen Evil Dead 1 or 2?

Those certainly weren't "scary". Sam Raimi's horror films have always been campy, that's their appeal.
