Cool

i like songs like derb - derbiss, dj sakin/friends - miami, cosmic gate - exploration of space, bony - the hurricane, dj sebastian - tocatta, mike macaluso - the final chapter..

and more recently towards the new york city hard house genre.. anyone have any suggestions for more tracks along those lines.. ?

if you havnt heard the beats i posted above, i suggest you give them a good listening to - they tear up the dance floors!

Try trance[]control...they are similiar..

i wouldnt really call trance[]control prog though.. hard prog trance usually kinda melts in with techno, have a look at some of the harder stuff by Mauro Picotto (Verdi, Baguette, Kebab, Like This Like That etc..) Mario Piu (yes he IS good, despite the apalling name he made for himself with 'communication') Gabri Fassano, DJ Rob Little.. the list goes on

Exclamation trance[]control

if you do get any trance control songs, i would highly recomend these 2 tracks: phsycotic chaos (did i spell that right?) and In trance we trust,
both awesome trance[]control songs.

and if you like cosmic gate, get there song - fire wire
and blank & jones - DJ culture is very semilar to exploration of space, its a very awesome tune.
and Dumonde - Never look back is simply badass.

peace,

Hello!

If you want some harder stuff...
here's a couple I've heard at clubs in NYC that tore up the dance floor..

Hennes & Cold - Second Trip (Dj Scot Project Mix)
Plasmic Honey - The Funeral
Hi Gate - Pitchin'(Yomanda Mix), I think thats the name of the song...
Blue Harvest - PlanB
Robbie Tronco - Oompa Loompa (K Bump Mix)
Plasmic Honey - Welcom To the Club
Embargo - Blackout

I don't think any of these songs that have been listed would be considered progressive. People have bad misconceptions of what progressive really is. Steve Lawler, Future Shock, and Digweed spin prog. Not Picotto, Piu, or TranceControl.

I know my progressive mate, been a prog-head for ages

U not heard picotto recently?? rush hour CD is hard and progressive as fuck. All the names i listed do the harder prog stuff, digweed, sasha, futureshock etc are softer prog DJ's, and that aint what the dood asked for listen to the tracks i named and tell me they aint prog

As for Mario Piu, communication was terrible, but i have heard stuff by him that makes you forget that tune ever existed

Peace

Lightbulb prog

we know most of what was just posted wasnt progressive, i was talkign about trance[]control, despite the fact that this thread is on hard progressive, because of the person who posted a trance[]control message before me.
and who cares? there all good tracks anyways.
