On Saturday the 4th of July Sander Kleinenberg returns to the Avalon for his �This Is Avaland� residency. For this no ordinary show, Kleinenberg�s talent for creating atmospheres and captivating myriad crowds is not only down to his intoxicating sound, but also his extraordinary ability to integrate video imagery into his sets.

On this special night, Sander will celebrate two new releases. First of all Sander just finished the new mix compilation �This Is Sander Kleinenberg 2� which will hit the USA in July 2009. This special two disc affair sees the Dutch legend serve up some of the finest progressive, tech house and electro cuts around including ten unreleased tracks, eight Little Mountain Recordings tracks and one exclusive compilation remix to make the perfect soundtrack to your summer. The other release is the release of Sander Kleinenberg�s new single entitled This Is Our Night. ��This Is Our Night�� is the first single taken fom the highly anticipated forthcoming studio album and is on it�s way to become a massive summer anthem. The track has already garnered overwhelming support by a few A-list DJ�s who were lucky enough to get a copy of the limited promo cd. One of those dj�s was Pete Tong who debuted the single on his Essential Mix show on Radio 1 a few weeks ago and has been on his playlist since.

For this occasion Sander invited French superstar dj and producer Joachim Garraud
Joachim Garraud developed a new concept, blending deejaying, musical improvisations and visuals, thus giving a true concert, a unique live performance which soon gave him the opportunist to perform all over the world.

Both Sander and Joachim will give a unique DVJ show using the Pioneer SVM-1000 mixer and Avalon�s amazing visual set-up.

my friend that got there around 3 and left at 430 said he never saw Sander (Joachim was on the entire time)...sounds like he played earlier than in the past and the set wasn't that long?

Sander set was sick as always. The lyrics playing on the videos make the tracks sweeter.

Joachim played some nice dirty house, got everyone dancing and jumping around. I love it when he busts out with his keytar. lol

I think he even played "Your a grand old flag" for the 4th for of July. It was his first time playing in LA. He's also playing tonight @ Cinespace w/ Steve Aoki.

how long did Sander play for?

btw, Joachim was also at Bardot last sunday and iLounge last week. i may go to his SD show this Sat nite coming up for the heck of it...

Sander was just OK in my book, nothn like when he was there back in March, set had no flow, he was all over the place. he got a good reaction from the crowd when he dropped Mylo's - Drop The Pressure, but that was about it!

i think ur friend was mistaken... Sander got off the decks @ 4 & then Garraud got on & played a track in the beginning that was really heavy on the electric guitar & just totally killed it for me

a lil bit later on, i stepped back in to the main stage from the Jerry Lewis room & he was mixn Dubfire's remix of Grindhouse w/Guetta's Love Is Gone i knew i had to leave soon

towards the end of his set, he dropped some OK tech house tracks, but too much crap in the beginning to really get into

saw Mikey & his girlfriend on the Jerry Lewis' balcony right @ the beginning of Garraud's set, if i wasnt so out of my mind, i would've def said "whats up!"
