[Review] ATB & Victor Dinaire
i gotta be up in few hours for work but i feel like i really have to post this... victor is a fucking beastttttttttttt....no, i'm not saying this because he is one of us but the guy seriously kicked some ass... i have never seen pacha that packed 5 in the morning on a trance night
his last track of his opening set was tell me from isos6...so sickkkkkkkkkkkkk and if i remember correctly, he played both remixes of run and hide
atb is a dickkkkkkk.... whats with him and hisnot letting anyone get 5 feet close to him? i requested "swept away" and he gave me that "meh" face
i cant belive vic dropped for an angel and svd remix of spaceman!!!!!!!

how ccan a dj stop and start the music multiple times in a fuckin dj set? like wtf ur the #4 dj in the world fuckin play like ur # 4 in the world... vic imo owned atb
cant believe vic dropped lonely girl and man on the run lol that made my bros night. vic, you r the man!
ATB has some energy to give off. Otherwise, he would be playing for 6 hours. Can't lie, it was a good night overall! Victor was hammering the place down easily. Had to drive home, so I couldn't stick around for too long after ATB got off.
Night started out alright, got to meet Ravi and Andrew downstairs. I apologize if I seemed to rush my introduction but the chaos upstairs before coming in meant that two of my friends got lost for about 30 minutes.
Dam, Bouncers at Pacha and separting people upstairs. Made, avoid Pacha, you guys can do better. Andrew, changing my TAscreename to jmoron, thats a first man hahaahahahahaha.
Congratulations Vic for tearing Pacha apart last night. Both your opening set and you closing set were sets that shouldnt have been missed. Like Ive said before and will say again, Vic has only been getting better and better over the years. Listening the most recent Lost Episode before going to Pacha gave me an idea that he was going to bring it proper. PVD for an angel 2009? that was a nice way to transition from atbs last song, great job overall.
Which reminds me, what was up with Pacha's mixers last night? For two or three times last night did the CD's skip? Im pretty sure that wasnt normal.
ATB did a great job as well, but he needs to work on not closing out his sets and his public relations more. And even though I say this, I havent seen a crowd this pumped and excited and energized, felt like everyone front and center knew all the lyrics to any song. Extacy, Terra. A few Tiesto songs too, I had a feeling he was going to play Carpe Noctum all night and he did. He played Elevation-Biscayne too. Was looking forward to What About Us as well and that was done
. By the end of the night I parked myself near the stairs, to the amusement of seeing this weird creep try to talk to one of my friends, once again, part of the Pacha experience. I eventually found out he was German and was telling my friend how clubs like Pacha dont exist in Germany. Can anyone verify this, lol.
Crowdwise, although people were into it and all, Pacha is Pacha, and you cant avoid the regular Pacha crowd. Made, please try not to book future DJs at Pacha.
Overall a great night, sorry to hear ATB was a dick before and after his set, that doesnt seem like him at all. Seems like something ATB should work on to make sure it doesnt happen at Electric Zoo.

Great night, overall. The crowd was worse than last year in terms of amout of people there, he needs to be booked in a different venue. As for the comment of him being a dick, he was slapping high fives and interacting all night, I dont know about that.
one of the best nights i have had this year, ATB owned pacha, i have been to pacha over 25 times and i have never seen pacha soo packed ever in my life! The guy has so much fucking energy and great crowd interaction, he played everything i wanted to hear except SWEPT AWAY!!! Vids up in a bit
Well, I underestimated ATB's NYC draw last night. We strolled up to the venue at 1 am, and the line was wrapped all the way down 46th street and around the block. I've never seen a line like that outside of a PVD at Roxy night. Luckily we managed to bi-pass the line and get right in.
Like someone said, I don't think I have ever seen a club more packed than Pacha was last night. We got in upstairs, tried to get to the main floor stairs and at that point the bouncers weren't letting anyone down. We tried the other door...same thing. We ended up just leaving.
I wanted to stay, I really did. I heard ATB drop Ecstasy while getting pat down, and heard him tease '9pm' soon after. The crowd was going nuts. So hats off to him...
So like I said though, I underestimated his draw in NYC lol. In my eyes, he is as big here, if not bigger, than a guy like Ferry right now, solely based on the crowd that showed up last night. Unreal haha.
Sorry we missed Vic's set, although it sounds like he killed it.

Last night was blast.
What exactly do you guys mean ATB was being a dick? He was waving at the crowd (not Armin style thank god) and interacting the whole night; I thought it was cool.
After hearing how hard he banged it out last year, I was really hoping for more. The set was great, but below my expectations. All I wanted to hear was Smells Like Teen Spirit, and we didn't get it =/.
Victor was amazing though. I almost cried when I had to leave and got a text saying he dropped Lonely Girl and Spaceman SVD mix.
Good times though, and Hide and Seek = my highlight of the night.

Last night was a clusterf*ck of horrendous proportions. Ya'll are giving ATB too much credit for bringing out the masses. His new album is mediocre at best -- you think people really came to check it out? Last night was one of rare rainless days of the month and I wanted to take advantage of the weather. Plus, tickets were still cheap the day of.
Agree with Jmauro -- MADE, PLEASE BOOK DJS ELSEWHERE. ANYWHERE BUT PACHA.
Let me list the ways I hate thee, Pacha:
- unprofessional security and inefficient crowd control: customers did not pay to stand indefinitely in a blocked stairwell or hallway because you check one bracelet at a time and can't handle having a two-way stream of people.
- police and undercover hovering in every crack and crevice, waiting to pounce on unwitting customers
- management clearly can't multitask and have two events at once. Seemed like people from the (free?) hip hop party snuck over to the Made Event just fine.
- smoking area is way too small for a summer crowd. Some people go out there to get some air because the main dance floor is so over capacity it's ridiculous. Fire hazard is an understatement.
Like others have mentioned, ATB was all over the place. No rhyme or reason to his set flow. My highlights were hearing Ecstasy and his new rock song insert: Kings of Leon's Use Somebody!!!
best tracks of the night were Duderstadt's remix of Made Of Love and fucking Prodigy-Firestarter!!

Im not gonna lie, I might do the same if I were a DJ. Just makes life easier! only problem is, you would think ATB would have some sort of FLOW going on in his set if he were writing it all out. not the case.
