Jester Everyone's favorite DJ - Deadmau5 and his message to the boards

Posted by GTS3gEclipse on Jun-20-2009 17:11:

LOL, wow. This cements his place in the toolbag hall of fame. And i love how he's so ugly he won't even show his face in his own videos or even when he DJs now.

And i think it's time for a new Deadrat6 track "Moar Demons and Whatever". Eco, get on that.

Posted by Frequency Frank on Jun-20-2009 17:43:

I thought it was kinda funny actually

Like his music or not, it's always well done, and it makes people happy.

Posted by Leniu on Jun-20-2009 17:48:

yea, i dont really look at guys like that, but he looks like hes dieing of aids or something
i mean he tours all over the world, you think if he goes to a exotic location he would just spend a day at the beach to relax and catch a tan or something...hes so white hes clear

but yea he seems to love living off of drama, some of the points in the video he made are valid but if he wants to go and make videos of it thats his business...me personally i think hes over rated
and i have no desire in going to see him, but let him do his thing
and have some fun

nah, i actually like it as well as Ghosts n Stuff.

to really understand the video, one would have to read the huge thread in music discussion from a week or 2 ago

i'm not a huge fan of his but i actually thought it was kinda funny... makes me think that maybe he has a sense of humor instead of only being a 110 pound nerd who looks like he just spent a couple of months at Auschwitz

Posted by amberella06 on Jun-21-2009 15:47:

why is everyone so hyped up on the way he looks? who cares!

ghost and stuff is one of my favorite tracks by him next to the reward is cheese and clockwerk id like here a dj eco rework oof ghost and stuff

unless you're trying to hop on his cock or something, i don't see why you have to talk about his looks.

he's a good dj and a good performer and minus all of the drama on messageboards and such he's a good guy.

Posted by drEamer on Jun-23-2009 00:32:

i wish he would off himself

unfortunately, i know more about him than i ever wanted to know from one of my friends he fucked over pretty bad, and he seems quite the opposite of a "good guy." in fact, he seems like an even bigger dick than he portrays himself to the public. there is actually not one positive thing i ever heard about him.

Posted by euphoria on Jun-23-2009 15:22:

Overrated, 70% of his songs sound the same unless they are remixes of another track and sometimes even then and to make it even worse he only plays his own productions at shows. These types of artists are about quantity, not quality.

He's clearly demonstrated how much of a dick he is on this very board.

He has also admited to hating DJ's, so do I need any more reasons not to like him?

I'll give him this tho...May be like two of his tracks are okay and thats because they are better of the group of songs that all use the same beat and to be honest I don't even like the tracks that much to consider giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Harsh, but when he get's some new ideas for tracks, new gear, and quits all these stupid free publicity scheme's may be I would see him in a different light.

Sincerly yours,
Z (the dream killer)

Hands down the worst DJ I've ever seen live. You're better off going on Pandora and type in Deadmau5 and save yourself 40 dollars next time he comes around. You'll get the same results.

Yeah, but at the time everyone gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed "the little guy" was the bullshitter haha. Someone so big and famous could never be a dick... lol, anyway, moving on...

Anyway, I've learned to not hate him a while ago. For every four or five shitty songs he puts out, there's one or two songs of gold that make up for it. Most producers can't even say that, so I gotta show respect for at least that... Maybe they're his least famous songs, but he's got some good stuff sprinkled within his discography, can't take that away from him...

Posted by Stef on Jun-23-2009 21:23:

I give him the benefit of the doubt a lot of times when it comes down to people flaming him about his tracks. And how everyone complains that all he does is killing their "scene" obviously he is going to be protective of his work especially after some of the more infamous threads in MD about his essential mix. I'm not sure how i view him as a person, but as an engineer (not a producer) i give him a lot of respect, his marketing also reminds me of that of apple and harley davidson.

you know, all this hating on deadmau5 makes me kinda not wanna dislike him anymore.
