Review: Burridge @ Footwork
Holy shit. So satisfied.
The End.
afterparty?
If there was an afterparty, I didn't go. I left before Lee finished.
two words...
FUCKING EPIC!!
Burridge destroyed the place last night. He played waaay harder than I expected.
He spun till 6 even thought there were only 40 or so people left on the dance floor. This gave the place that nice intimate vibe that you can't get at most other clubs. This is when Burridge slowed it down a bit with some incredible proggy, funky, techy, fuckin' goodness. jesus! the man is a wizard behind the decks.
Probably one of the best sets i've ever heard at a club in my 6+ years of partying.
Highlight:
Finding an iPhone on the floor and returning it to a guy who didn't even realize he lost it.
Words can seriously not express how happy I am. If I never make it out to party again this year, I will still be so satisfied.
Such a great night. Didn't want to leave long enough to use the washroom. Had some interesting conversations on the patio. Had to leave with a heavy heart at 5:15 in the interest of general sensibilities.
Just awesome.
I can honestly say that I haven't been as musically entertained as I was last night in years. He was freaking banging. The first night in ages that I've attended sober where I would have had no problem closing it down. I'm jealous for any of you who made it to the end; I was an idiot for scheduling driving people home
Highlight for me: the first proper dark techno track he mixed into after some really brilliant funky/percussion/latin based house sometime between 2:15-2:30. That track was epic - just a haunting siren echoing out over the floor, like war of the worlds or something.
Epic night, epic music - Burridge has my ticket purchase any time he's in the vicinity.
BTW: cheers to the swamp fest chick g'ing out on the dance floor... yikes!

I decided at the last minute to go..
Very glad I did. I had a very fun time..
Lots of familiar faces and great tunes.
The night was a success...
Anyone go to Zone after? I am dying to live through anyone who saw Squilly.
Fucking great. He didn't pound it like he could have, but I didn't mind it one bit. All night long he had a steady groovey pace going that I couldn't stop moving to. Best track was around the 5AM mark (5:05 to be exact). I can't even describe it but it was something only Burridge would play and that nailed it for me. Anything after that was bonus material and it just so happens that 5AM-6AM was the best of the night imo. This is the Lee I like best.
A perfect example of a night filled with quality music. Can't believe I almost didn't come.
Now to listen to that MTL set.
Wow. Last night was epic!
Super opening set from Hali, funky and bumping house, people were already dancing it up when I arrived. Lee started at 1:30, slower groovy housey tunes to start off with, very smooth transition from Hali's set.
The basslines stayed monster for most of the night and the tempo picked up, all leading up to tribal tech! First time seeing him play this and wow did he ever give people a workout. Some more traditional Burridge stuff crept in past 4, weird instrumentals, proggy grooves with tech house. Have to say that as much as I enjoyed the tribal tech, the last 2 hours of "Lee being Lee" were the highlight of the night for me.
Thank you Footwork for letting him play til 6, those who stayed much appreciated it. Always a treat when the dj ends up closing the night by dancing with the crowd.

just sick..
An hour into his set, Lee asked if he could play 'til 6.
Obvi!
BOOM BOOM POWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HAD A Blast!
Jennypie you ROCK!
Sarah hope you had a great bday babe
Lee Burridge lives upto his name in the game ....so much i was dancing on the bar stool with flying flamingoes and sharks

It's also worth noting how much money I saved on drinks, due to not being able to stop dancing. Pretty sure I was melting onto the dancefloor. Absolutely just putty. Umf.
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Fab times, love him!
There's no party like a Lee party. For fact. The vibe he sets is
He's the only DJ that can turn me into a booth bunny. watching him at work is pure pleasures.

Whoever thought of the blow up animals. high five!
