King Anyone here into M83?

I just recently got into listening to this guy's music. It's like 21st century music for 80's kids, lovely.

I especially love this track, and when the hihats start playing toward the middle.... real nice atmosphere.

(YouTube is having server problem, might take a little longer to load, just a heads up!)

This one is more 80's than anything, with vocals.

What do you guys think of him?

Sounds great. Would fit well at Pinkpop 2010

You're right.

He's actually touring with Depeche Mode @ a few festivals, and is doing Oxegen (Not Oxygen) festival in Ireland... I wanna go to that show.

before the dawn is his best by far imho, although you can't beat the drop at the beginning of unrecorded (the first track on dead cities, red seas and lost ghosts)

i can't listen to saturdays = youth for very long without freaking out for some reason

sasha's invol2ver remix of couleurs is amazing by the way, be sure to check it out

I agree. "In Church" is probably my favorite of his; that, or "Lower Your Eyelids to Die With the Sun," a track with fairly epic scope.

It's all about 'We Own the Sky'

I also love 'Don't Save Us From the Flames':

by the way, the chick in this video is the daughter of Bauhaus drummer Kevin Haskins

I love Saturdays = Youth but haven't checked out the previous albums yet. Any opinions on which album is the best?

Before the Dawn Heals Us. Which is better than Saturdays = Youth.

There's better shoegaze out there though

I love M83, pretty much been my favourite band since their self titled dbut album.

Not everyone's taste, but they perfectly suit mine.

"Before The Dawn Heals Is" is my favourite album of all time. I suppose that comment in itself sums up how much I love their/his work.

It's not full blown Shoegaze but quite a few songs do have shoegazey elements in them

+1 for mentioning mew by the way
