Idea "Local Scene Info / Discussion" for Asia, Africa and Latin America

Hey, there's half of the world missing in that "Local Scene Info / Discussion" section I know that Europe, North America and Australia are the places where trance is stronger in the world, but couldn't you guys open a forum for those who live outside these places? Something like: Other regions (Latin America / Africa / Asia / Mars ). Just a tought...
Cheers!

It's been a long month and nobody posted here. Though my heart is bleeding in pain in sorrow, I oficially close this thread (now I just need a moderator to download it, or create a weblog here, hehe)

you'd have better luck in off-topic - nobody reads this forum.

Waht about a language forum.. for all differnt types of languages.. that ppl can talk in ..such as spanish, rusian, hindu, etc.. that do not have a forum.. like France, germany, isreal, holand.. etc..

just a thought..

Posted by Miss Proximus on Aug-05-2002 08:08:

I think it's a good idea

I wish there was a South Africa forum! That would make things a lot easier for me, as I'm going there but it's very hard to find out where the good djs spin etc

If the USA section was clled Americas then South America could be put in there aswell

and then an Asia/Africa/Oceania forum.....done!!

I vote YES

Posted by zzleeper on Aug-07-2002 22:49:

Agree with Maaz..

thought no one really reads this forum!! (no even swamper?)

Posted by Spad on Aug-08-2002 21:30:

I agree, I think the local forums are a huge part of TA and are what help create such a good community. IMO there shouldn't be any area that's not covered by a local forum, even if the forum covers a large area (such as a whole continent).

There should be an Asia forum just for the Full Moon Parties in Thailand

Posted by jdat on Aug-10-2002 06:56:

problem is ...

more people are needed to start a new forum

like chicago and midwest usa wants a forum and it's not happening ... even if there's tons of people it's just weird

get the most people involved and then you'll have your forum

Posted by Miss Proximus on Aug-12-2002 07:59:

I know for a fact there are at least 6 active south african members

Why isn't anyone from Asia/ Africa posting here grrrrrr

i want a latin forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KarateKid

i once PM'd Swamps about starting up an Asian forum for ppl from Japan, Korea, China, etc..

At one point I was thinking about campaigning for an Asian section for TA by going around the main discussion forums as wells as posting on other forum websites like HKClubber.com (HongKong) and etc. to help draw up support for an Asian room.

And he basically told me that for it to be possible there has to be enuff ppl willing to support it. basically thatz how the other regional forums were created..

there were enuff ppl from each country and they all contacted each other and created a thread like this one and all spilled in their support. so in order for this to happen we all have to find others on TA from these respective region to show that there's enuff representation ..

which i am sure there are we juss gotta find them !!

i wish i could speak Spanish .. such a beautiful language .. :]

Posted by Swamper on Aug-31-2002 20:58:

Ok well if ya do it by language then you have Brazil/Portugal | Spain/South America

...and if u do it by region u have Brazil/South America | Spain/Portugal ...

Either you're tied in by geographic proximity or by a common language... Pick 1.. I figure the latter because at least there's some possibility of meetups/travelling to get to an event.

Posted by Costa del Sol on Aug-31-2002 21:51:

I prefer by language..

Posted by jlosada on Aug-31-2002 22:08:

By language also

Posted by Lira on Sep-01-2002 07:26:

We're tied by common languages here. I guess the best way to organise things would be:

1) Local scenes > Ibero-America
1.1) Local scenes > Ibero-America > Portugus
1.2) Local scenes > Ibero-America > Espaol

Then, inside each section, we'd have 2 perm threads for "events / travels" (one for Europe and one for America).

What do I mean by perm thread? Take a look at Uk's forum. There's an eternal "insert bullshit here" thread. No matter how many threads they start in that forum, it'll always be there, for you to post bullshit (events, in our case). It would be the best way to arrange meetups and travels - not mixing the languages. It would look like: (threads are in orange)

1.1.1) Local scenes > Ibero-America > Portugus > Viagens: Europa
1.1.2) Local scenes > Ibero-America > Portugus > Viagens: Amrica

1.2.1) Local scenes > Ibero-America > Espaol > Viajes: Europa
1.2.2) Local scenes > Ibero-America > Espaol > Viajes: Amrica

Any doubts? Anyone got a better name (for Ibero-America?) What do you guys think?

PS.: Swamper, voc esteve um tempo em Portugal, n? Voc ainda fala portugus?
