[dj mix] andrei faji - june fireflies (28-06-2009) [deep house, house, techno]

the attached mix is inspired by a recent night of clear skies and tiny lit homes which i have a view of from my window - a mood all too reminiscent of fireflies on a warm summer night in june.

there's really no special or fancy "tricks" in this mix, but i hope it invites a warm ambiance as you listen to it. it's a collection of house and techno records, both new and old, that i personally adore.

I enjoyed this quite a bit, great mix, great tracks, love the moods here, great late night stuff. Was thinking about using the Donnacha track in a mix I might start working on soon. Interestingly for me, after hearing this today, last nite while sippin on some new castles I started a new piece, well its a remix of one of my own tracks I started earlier in the week. So it was a late night session and some new castles in, decided to remix it into a deeper sublime intrepetation of the original, its turned out to be something that might work in a mix like this. Maybe when I finish it and master it, ill send you a copy...or if it gets picked up.

Thanks for the mix. Cheers!

starting new tracks is not helping me. But I will indeed be able to get something done this month. It will mostly tracks i've enjoyed of past few years, not too many of the latest beatport releases.

Will do. Letting it marinate for a bit, I like how the main ideas have turned out so far, have to be careful not to ruin the original vision by throwing punches blindly. But indeed when I do finish her, or if it gets picked up, i'll slang a promoiski your way, and you see can if it works for you. It is sublime, but does ask for movement while supporting a state of illusion.
