Which era would you like to live in?

If you could live in any decade, which would it be, and why?

Posted by Sushipunk on Jul-06-2009 02:59:

70s. Disco. Awwwwwww yeah.

Posted by narcism on Jul-06-2009 03:05:

feminism
the start of space exploration

Now actually, music seems to have been going in a good direction the past couple of years.

Don't you ever get tired of being a dork?

Although I adore contemporary technology, I think it would have been interesting to live in simpler times.

couldn't think of anything worse. i think we're living in the goldenage of humanity, with plentiful technology and resources, before our climate goes to shit and we have an energy crisis.

i also hate virtually all music made before i was born, so living in the 60s for instance would suck major cock. then again, id get to fuck your mum when she was in her prime rather than the rancid geriatric she is now, so it wouldnt be all bad.

I would really like to see just how far humanity goes in the next 90 years (granted we don't destroy ourselves first).

^1000!

Though living in the future would probably be cool (lightsabers, flying ars and parties on the moon! just how aweome haveing a dance party on the mon would be!!) i woudnt mindt being born a few years earlier. THat way i would get being a teenager with only girls and parties on his mind out of the way before the time was right to properly exploit the internets.AS it stands now, i have nothing to show for those years but a ton of unfinished projects and a million dead brain cells

postwar peace time. frank sinatra, old hollywood and manhattan bars still playing that romantic jazzy sound (which are now standards). I'd have loved to live in Cuba during that time when the Mafia was on its Peak and Havana was the drug/sex/party capital of the world. Marilyn Monroe looking the best during that period.

Also, everything just seemed to be so simple back then.

Posted by Renzo on Jul-06-2009 04:07:

The Jazz Age [including the Roaring Twenties] looked pretty cool. I like the style and look of the era.

I also really like the music from the 50s and 60s, so I would live during that era, as well.

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Jul-06-2009 04:14:

Maybe born a decade earlier than I was, so I would have hit party age right around the time most of my favorite electronic music was coming out.

I'm pretty happy with the era I did grow up in, though, coming of age with the growth of the Internet and all. It's been an amazing time.

Posted by boris_the_bear on Jul-06-2009 04:28:

im happy with the era i live in. be it another time, i could've been killed in a war, mowed down by a pandemic or shot by a traveling gang

Posted by Damerchi on Jul-06-2009 04:57:

Id be born 5 years later, so I can join the likes of tranceownslol and darkarbiter in the roles of the know-it-all 15 yearold on these forums.
