He seems to surpise me time after time with choice of tracks, soundeffects and damn fine remixes

I wouldnt say that Armin only play big anthems.

But damn, the man is amazing...and is the only one that really puts a shitload of effort into his DJ'ing and tries to be unique compared to Tiesto, Ferry, AvB, Gielen (LOL, which set of anthems shall we spin today?). |

| Originally posted by infinity HiGH Oh, no, I was referring to Gielen when I made the Anthem comment. Armin is great...he spins very nice trance...both the anthem style (Uplifting, as some call it) and progressive. He's a very talented guy...needs to work a bit on beatmatching, but he's the best out of the Dutch DJ's...he's got the best selection of tracks. Out of the trance DJ's that share a similar style, he's my favourite. His sets as a whole have an "atmosphere"...and yeah, unlike Tiesto, he can spin progressive, and very very nice upliftin (Second Wave, Seven Cities, Tranzy State, Glad I Ate Her, Xpander, etc etc etc etc etc) |

nope he didnt do that

In this day and age...hearing more than 30 minutes of just uplifting is gonna get boring...progressive needs to be mixed in...so it give you that rhythm, and when you're dancing...you really get into it, and then drop an uplifting tune, that you go crazy to. Progressive is more of a "tease" style of music...it never climaxes, it just keeps "teasing" you and makes you keep going, but then finally hearing that anthem come in, and then explode...absolute bliss! |
lets get back to topic lol
So dose anyone have any clue how this effect is done?
During last wednesday's Soundgarden, Paul said that remix of "The Crowd Song" was a one-time thing made especially for him to play at the opening of his Mayday set (maybe that's why he never plays it now...). He probably doesn't put any effects on it (aside from that effect that's prevalent throughout the entire set.. can't remember name) Oh yeah... hehe ... he also said he'd stop spinning if he found that mix on the net... oh paul.. so funny you are...

Damn!
This means I never gonna get that amazing tune on vinyl.

Where can i get this vid?
