METROPOLIS (U.S > CA [wEST -c0AsT])

---> Well it's summer and METROPOLIS is coming up - one of the big events we have ova here on teh West Coast. Its gonna be in San Francisco at the 3- Com park there. Date: July 20th. I really want to go, but im kinda far from it - (Sacramento area), and i CAN drive but no car yet So Who's GOIng?? Anyone from around my area?? Well my friends are goin and ryde options for me look bad... so hey any nice peeps around here who got space for 1 guy who cant drive meeh down there?? Maybe we can work out a deal (I pay for gas money...)? Hit me up if u think you can do it.

Ill yo... i thanks for teh support i think i got a secure ryde though with my friend... she sez she'll make room 4 meeh but u never can tell.... insurance is always good, you know "in case shit" like... in case SH!t happens. Hopefully if everything's koo and works out, then ill meet you guys there.

BTW, Does anyone know if this year's metropolis is 18 an up? or what? they gonna chek ID's?

How this for a story....

I met a sweet lady at www.groovetickets.com. We both bought tickets to Pure Insanity, the one where ATB was never booked. We both ended up going to the party anyways, but never met up cuz we really didn't know each other back then.

The funny thing is that someone rubbed my head at the party and I asked her the very next day on-line if she rubbed anyone's head. She said yeah!!! Hehe,I freaked out!!! In a weird way we met. LOL,...Of course I realize that it could have been a completely different person that rubbed my head. Nevertheless, I kept it on my mind that it was her.

We were gonna finally met each other face to face at Electric Daisy Carnival but something else came up and we didn't go. After months of chatting on-line and getting to know each other, she brings up METROPOLIS and buys herself a ticket. I told her that I had no ride up north for the event and wished that I was going so that I could finally meet up with her. She said that she was willing to drive from her residence in San Diego, pick me up in Los Angeles and drive all the way to San Francisco for the party. That's the sweetest thing anyone will have ever done for me.

I'm proud to say that I just bought myself a ticket about an hour ago and can't wait to meet up with her next week. I just thought I'd like to share my story with all you guys out there and show you how weird life can be and how possible it is to get a ride to Metropolis or any other event via on-line. One of the hardest things about picking up a complete stranger is trust and I think we pretty much have that.

For those of you going to Metropolis, have a great time. Who knows, we might see you there.

was wondering how metropolis went???? what was the lineup like? i remember last years lineup was good, i saw that party on that rave-nation movie, looked pretty tight...so lemme know how that west-coast party went..im 3rd-coast here (austin,texas). wish there were events here like yall got there in cali.. but ill be there one day...then its the rest of the world!!! !!! lol

These West Coast parties are great. My 2nd Northern California party. I'd have to say there's a little different atmosphere between the North and the South but still very similar. The line-up was amazing, with the main head-line being The Crystal Method, followed by BT and Deep Sky.

These were the people I came to see and I saw them. They all played Crystal Method-like with a heavy bass-like feeling, even BT. Deep Sky performed live. They had electronic drums and everything. What sucked was that the party was outside the football stadium. I heard that last year, their party was inside the stadium and so much better.

Nevertheless, the party was awesome. If I had to rate it, I'd give it a 10 for performance, but a 5 for setting up the area. They could have done a whole lot better making the place great. This is something that Southwest parties do good at, or at least they used to. Cuz now, outdoor parties out here end at like 2 am and no later than 4 am. Things were better before when they would end at like 7 am. Of course this is just my opinion.

Raves were better in 99' and 00'. I still like raves and go once in a while. Maybe it's cuz I'm 23 and I like those 21 and over clubs now. Who knows!!! One things for sure, I'll always love TRANCE. Peace!!!
